    for now on ill just reduce temps by around 5-10 deg lower and that should put me were i need to be,as far as the krausen goes when should it be skimmed off the wort

    so my stick on fermentor is around 10 deg cooler than my actual wort?and i mostly use buckets so i guess a blow off tube wont work

    I pitched yeast over 80deg on just the one batch, the rest i pitched around 75deg,and fermented all of them around 66-67deg,also I'm not going by room temp I'm going by my stick on fermometors,.....thanks again

    around a month between primary and secondary for both and about 65 to 67 deg,3 weeks in bottle

    Ive made 25 gallons of homebrew so far (midwest supplies) my first was autamn amber ale,drank 2 and woke up with headache..my second is aussie light ale,drank 2 and had a headache within 1 hour,primary temps around 67deg for both..pitched yeast with aussie ale at 75 deg and amber a little over...

    ok i get it,clean than sanitize..,can i clean,let dry,and than sanitize a few days later when ready to brew or bottle?

    (carlson- easy clean) is 10.00 cheaper than (one step)...is there enough difference in the two to spend onother 10.00 for the one step....both 5lb bucket,i love using something that requires no rinsing but will the easy clean leave a bleach film in my beer bottles...thanks allot

    I looked at a kit called brewers best American light,how would that turn out with the flaked rice recipe...thank you :mug:

    so does that mean i basically steep the rice and 2 row malt with my regular steeping grains, the directions say on the kits i get to steep grains at 155 deg for 30 minutes,or is the rice flake and 2 row going to be separate process from my regular steeping grains....by the way thanks allot

    yah thats the kits i use..extract kits with steeping grains

    thanks for the respnces..i use ale extract kits from Midwest supplies,I'm not sure what extract kit ill pick next but it will be a light ale of some kind,maybe we can figure out a way of using the rice flakes with a light ale....with your help...lol
