Ran empty on Co2 after kegging!

I can't imagine it would much different than if you had left it in the fermenter for an extra few days.. As long as you don't shake it up or anything like that it shouldn't oxidize just sitting there in the short of time in any way you should be able to notice. Still something I'd try to avoid...

    Sanke Keg Worth It?

I would say the biggest downside from my experience is that you can't just have the gas hooked up with no liquid line for standby carbing like you can do with a corny unless you want to tie up a faucet or have a spare picnic tap handy. If you don't care about that then I say go for it

SCiO: Portable molecular sensor - homebrew use

So I came across this neat device that is a hand held spectrometer and when I saw one of their example apps showed ABV of a drink I thought of the potential for homebrew use. I messaged them about it and got the following response: Great question! Although we haven't yet developed that...

    Keezer Collar vs Faucet Tower

I moved from through my collar to a tower mainly to avoid my cats knocking into the taps accidentally and putting 5 gallons on the floor and taking off my tap handles every time I left was getting annoying. I kind of like the look better too but it does require a lot more clearance or pulling it...

[Feeler] Any Interest in Digital Tap Lists?

Will it work with the PiFace digital IO expander? They come pre-assembled and ready to go, I actually have one and have been working on my own flow meter interface (while keeping a sharp eye on this project), although I have not had a chance to really get into it yet. The only issue I can think...

    Replacement gauge lens?

so apparently I have lost one of the plastic twist-on gauge lenses on my regulator, and for the life of me I can't find anywhere that will sell that one part. I even contacted micromatic and was informed that they only sell whole gauges, which i'd hate to do just for the lense. This (and cracked...

lol thanks! I have decided to work on porting my code over to the RPi, it's kinda slow going though because I got a lot of other stuff to focus on too but it'll definitely get done. :D

    No hangover beer

I actually know someone who lost a family member this way, ever since then it's been lots of water before going to bed and that's it

I don't have the exact cost, but if memory serves it came in at about $60 for the pipe and fittings (not counting any beer related hardware). It's a toilet flange, a straight coupler, a 3-way wye, 3 90* elbows, 3 end caps, and a short length of abs pipe to hold it all together plus some green...

Surprisingly I never thought about midi, that can make it a lot easier. Hopefully I can find a way to do it on the netduino so I don't have to abandon the work i've done so far, which more or less works. The RPi takes an SD and supports up to 32GB I believe so that's no issue and has...

usually I just get blank stares when I try to explain i'm using it for a completely unintended purpose. That's why I just say "i'm good" and find it myself... sometimes you get inspired in the process, especially when the thing you came in for only exists in your head and you have to fabricate...

lol for sure if I put my batch of mead on tap... that stuff is nuts, it'll take you from 0-trashed in 16oz for most people

    Mario Keezer

This was an inspiration I had the other day actually. I already have flow meters hooked to a netduino to measure pour rates, so assuming I can get a speaker hooked to it, I could probably do it. Either that or look into porting the project over to my raspberry pi but I haven't had a lot of time...

The drip tray is a piece of plastic gutter with two end caps (like these), and the top is a soffit vent (like this one) with gorilla tape on the edges, mainly because the edges are sharp. I assume it's at least mildly waterproof, but even if not at $4 it's no big deal to replace periodically
