    Do You Filter?

I use irish moss when I remembe. I do BIAB and I seem to get enough clarity out of the beers I need to, I don't really care about clarity though I just assume there are other benefits besides that. Plus I paid 2 dollars for that jar, I'm gonna put a tsp in every boil until its gone =).

Some kinds of beer give me headaches...why?

I am terribly sorry. Pabst is one of the greatest commercial beers imo, the best 30 rack. I have a friend who gets a headache after even one budweiser or budlight. Freshman year in college he would freak out and not drink with us when wed forget and get bud.

    Brewing with peppers

I didnt lose heat from boiling them because I only boiled for a couple minutes which pulled spice and flavor into the water I added.

    Brewing with peppers

What I like about making the tea and adding it is that you can get a pretty good prediction of the final heat you will end up with. Mine was a mr beer pale ale so I just tested the pepper tea in some budlight because it probably has simmilar flavor and bitterness to the one I was making.

I found a turkey fryer pot that was on sale online (bayou classic) I think for 25 or 30 dollars. Its pefect for mr beer sized batches (2.2 gal) but I can...

    Brewing with peppers

When I did it I brewed the beer as I usually would, but on bottling day I boiled some sliced up peppers in some water to make a cup and a half or so of very strong pepper tea afte strained. I took a light commercial beer on bottling day and poured it in a glass with a spoonful of the tea. Took...

Just did a beer bong of busch light with my roommate (he's going out to drink pitchers of bud). no secondary really is great

I have done it in primary using one of my old paint straining bags (for BIAB) cut up and tied into a little bundle, with enough room for them to fluff out if they are pellets. It worked well! I haven't saved my yeast cake but I bet it would b easier for you if the hops were packaged a bit in the...
