First BIAB/AG Recipe - Rye Pale Ale

Thanks for the tips about the citra. Because I'll be doing BIAB, I'll be double milling all the grain to try and get the most efficiency out of it. And I do think I want it to be more on the crisp side than the malty side.

    Peach Wine - First Timer

Missed this last time. No, did nothing for fining. Cracked open the first bottle this weekend (the wait was killing me), I thought it tasted pretty good. Almost like a chardonnay with a peach scent/taste. I think it'll be delicious on a summer night garnished with a fresh peach slice.

First BIAB/AG Recipe - Rye Pale Ale

I've recently made the jump from extract to all grain. I'm going to be doing the BIAB way, and decided to start it right off with making my own recipe. I'm going for a crisp, piney beer with a pleasant aroma. Recipe Type: All Grain Style: Rye Pale Ale Yeast: Wyeast Labs #1056 Batch Size...

    First BIAB/AG recipe and brewday

Okay. Think I'll tone mash temp down to 152 and ditch the carapils.

If you don't mind me asking, how'd you make that texture effect? I like it a lot. First two batches of anything big enough worth labeling. The IPA was from a kit, so I didn't think it was name-worthy.

Pennsylvania Glass Carboys and soda kegs, SE Pa

Interested in the carboys, if you're selling them in pieces.

    Burnt/bitter taste

Did it not help that I was doing a 3 gallon boil and then topped up with 2 gallons in carboy?

It was on heat. Even if I'm stirring while adding, it'll still go straight down?

    Burnt/bitter taste

Hi all, I've been doing single-gallon extract batches for about a year. I recently made the jump up to 5 gallon extract brews, and brewed my first one about 3 weeks ago. I made the Brewer's Best IPA extract kit and everything went well for my first time working with a larger volume. I...

    FastFerment conical fermenter??????

I'm using this right now to ferment a 5 gallon batch of extract IPA. Only thing I've noticed so far is the hop sludge clogging the bottom of the cone. I rinsed the ball out once, and reopened it hoping to pull out some more of that sludge. We'll see how bottling goes in another week or so.

That looks really cool. I'm assuming you print them, spray them, and then cut them out? I dig the style of the designs.

    Peach Wine - First Timer

I bottled up the two gallons of wine and got 8 bottles out of it. I'll let it age in the bottle for at least 3 months before cracking into it. The flavor was good. I was happy with the peach flavor and aroma. Wine was crystal clear. I liked how it was dry, but the fruit flavor gave it just...

Spruce tips (+) rye malt ale? Thoughts?

Dogfish's Pennsylvania Tuxedo was really good, in my opinion. I've searching for a clone recipe to try and make it myself.
