If you do put them in the dishwasher, then run it with out the detergent. The detergent can have a negative effect. If they are really dirty then just soak them in some oxiclean or pbw.

I agree completely. I was disapointed when I finally got to try Pliny the Elder. I mean it was good...VERY good, but I have a strong feeling if you could buy it on every shelf in the US (or even every state for that matter) it wouldn't get such rave reviews.

And it's not like they would market it as a Pliny clone, but word would spread quick if it really was as good, or even close. -- I would buy it. I'd be more interested in the Alpha King clone though. I tried those two in a side by side and Alpha was better IMO.

I haven't tried Yoop's - DFH 60min yet, but Ed's - Bee Cave IPA is pretty close to the Stone IPA if you like that. It's the best beer I've brewed so far. EDIT - Here's the link.. Also, do you like any commercial IPAs? That would give people an idea of what kind of IPAs and/or hops you like...

FG got down to 1.06 which was the goal. I was making Ed's stone clone. I just dry hopped it today, and tasted the sample. Best beer I've made so far. I guess I got lucky and the conversion happened before the temp got too high. There could be some tannin bitterness, but it tastes like clean...

Well I don't keg so I can't help you there, but I can attest to time healing the issue. I think purging in the keg would definitely help. I'd have to look and see when I bottled the blonde, but it is totally free of the sulfur smell and taste now. What yeast did you use? Chances are 60 is too...

Lol, that's dumb. Lots of red ales aren't crayola red. They are still red though. If Sam Adams is at fault, so is Bear Republic, Smithwick's, St Rogue, and even Green Flash's hop head red is pretty dark.
