    "Dryness" after taste?

I believe I aimed for the 155-165 range steep-wise. And I know that one week is not at all long enough, I just let excitement get the better of me. lol

    "Dryness" after taste?

I may have jumped the gun here, but I have had a Robust Porter (Brewer's Best) conditioning in bottles for exactly one week. Being the impatient guy I am, I chilled one down just to get a taste. Overall, its great. This is my first actual brew, aside from mr.beer, and tastes how I'd hoped. I do...

    Brewery names--what's your story?

This is a very rough first draft of an idea. I love beer that goes with the season, but you have to brew practically on the eve of the season to have it ready mid season. (Yeah, I said "season" three times in that sentence) So, my name? Season's Eve Brewing Co. And here is that rough draft logo..

    Holiday Brew

Hey Brew-Guru's, I'm looking for a recipe for something (Cider, Beer) that will make the holidays a bit warmer. Something I can enjoy with my ladyfriend, and our families. Like I said, I'm open to beer and/or cider ideas, but I'm still relatively new to brewing (3rd extract batch in bottles) so...

Looking for a Shiner Bohemian Lager clone

I'm looking to brew this style of beer as my first venture into more complicated brewing, so I'm looking for a clone that is a partial mash and that uses ale yeast since I have no way to ferment at lager tempatures. Thanks in advance!

Yeast at the bottom of the bottle..

Nope, no secondary, so I'll just assumed it hasn't settled yet. I still plan on giving it a few more days at room temp, and then chill for two weeks, so I'm sure it will settle. This is my first batch, so I'm completely new to the concept. Thanks for the info!

Yeast at the bottom of the bottle..

I have a batch bottle conditioning that has been in the bottles for around 12 days. I took one, and chilled it down to sample and check carbonation. Well it was so good I drank the whole thing, although only slightly carb'd. However, I did not notice the yeast cake at the bottom of the bottle...

A little help on the idea?

I've finally chosen a name: The Gentlemen Bastards Brewing Co. I just can't decide what to make of the label! I'm looking for ideas on what I could throw in here that would fit the general theme of the brewery based off the name.. If the it sparks your creativity, please let me know...

    Tulsa has a new brewer!

Hello everyone, I'm Brent, and I'm from Tulsa, OK. I just got into the brew hobby and am looking forward to taking this to the extreme. I'm just working on extracts right now because I'm so new to this hobby, but I can't wait to start REALLY getting into the brewing science.

    Brewery names--what's your story?

I've got a few ideas.. The Gentlemen Bastards Brew Co. (or Brewery) The name comes from a group of characters in a book I read, and it always stuck with me. I'm just not sure if I could get into legal troubles by using it lol 73rd Street Aleworks : I live on 73rd st. Awesome creativity there.

Mr Beer - Read all about it and ask questions

Just curious - I bottled my first batch on friday. I'm still not feeling any type of firmness in the bottles (plastic Dasani water bottles), is this a problem or is the carbonation process a very slow build up? Thanks.

THE spot for a weekday in Tulsa, OK

Unfortunately, its only Natural Light. The ten cent price tag makes it a little more desirable.. but only a little!

THE spot for a weekday in Tulsa, OK

I recently found out that the Buccaneer Bar @ 11th and Harvard does 'Dime Time' Wednesdays.. of which I am afflicted by right now. The tittle means literally, one beer, one dime. A tray (10) for $1. EVERY Wednesday from 10-1! Its insane!!

Mr Beer - Read all about it and ask questions

I received a Mr. Beer kit as a Christmas gift from my mother (She knows me too well). I know really nothing about home brewing, but I have a batch fermenting and I am very excited to continue :) I just have a few questions: Why is Mr.Beer looked down upon exactly? And if I were looking to...
