Dirt cheap, motorized, miniature, roller mill

This is fantastic. Living in a small apartment with my wife I understand the need for minimal footprint. I'm thinking of building a similar mill but rather than connecting a motor just attaching our drill whenever I need to mill and packing it all away otherwise. Thoughts other than noise...

    Official Broken Hydrometer Count

2233 have been using a refractometer for a year after breaking 3 hydrometers. By the time I paid for the 4th I could have paid the 50 for the refractometer. Found this one used with a bunch of other equipment. Opened a cabinet and knocked it out of the tube into the waffle maker. Didn't even...

    Citrus Kolsch help

I just brewed a kolsch with 20% munich and 10% wheat then stuck with tettnang and perle. I want to reuse the yeast for a hoppier beer. This post is perfectly timed as I am also wondering how hops or even a pale ale would react to the yeast (I used WLP029 White Labs). I'd like to hear how...

Taken me a long time to reply to this one. Yeah I don't know what I was doing, some miscalculations when converting to 5 gallons and some poor guesstimations. Remade the beer as: 6.6 lbs Briess Pilsen Light LME 0.7 " Choc Malt 0.7 " Crystal 40 2.8 oz Black Patent 0.7 oz Roasted Barley...

    Wheat IPA - Please critique

American Porter Bee Cave Brewery Robust Porter

Rats! I did a 5 gallon. Definately that's the problem. I'll let this sit for a month and see what it turns into. In the meantime I have ingredients for another batch to start next week (except the crystal and chocolate, I'll add that for sure). Thanks for the heads up!
