How do I disassemble this tower to clean the lines?

My LHBS has 5mm ID and recommends 10 feet per line. I don't want 40 feet of line in that fridge (2 kegs). I'll see if there's anything else I could get at MoreBeer! so I can get free shipping.

How do I disassemble this tower to clean the lines?

I did think of this! I just want to make sure because I haven't ever used on before. I ended up grabbing some ball lock carbonation caps that will allow me to make a small bottle of cleaning solution while using a minimal amount of CO2.

How do I disassemble this tower to clean the lines?

Bought a used kegerator but there’s beer in the lines. Can’t for the life of me figure out how to get the cap off to remove the lines, and it looks like the previous owner couldn’t either. No way to remove tap either, it appears. Vissani Beer Keg Cooler MCKC490S Even the manual doesn’t tell...

What would you call this style? (+ kegging on the cheap, G30 grain bill, etc.)

Yes, I'm excited to see how it turns out! I've become friends with someone that owns and runs a brewery, and he knows that I like Rauchbiers. He did preface by saying, "That's not what these are for, but they are fun!" He mentioned Piwo Grodziske too, as it's something he's workshopping.

Whoa, what tool is that? Clearly from Brewer's Friend. And what did you put in for the Gotlandsdricka?

What would you call this style? (+ kegging on the cheap, G30 grain bill, etc.)

Hi, folks! Very green home-brewer here. I'm going into my fifth brew, and I've read The Complete Joy of Homebrewing, and I still know absolutely nothing. 😅 I do know what styles I like, that I enjoy low ABV, and that home-brewing gets very complicated very easily. Hah! I'm working on the...

Grain bed doughing up every few minutes.

Water amounts were accurate to the ounce. Oh, sorry! Modified Grainfather G30 - no overflow pipe, no top plate. You know… I did not throttle the valve. Went wide open. Got more guidance on this in particular? Specifically, why and how to tell how much is enough? I don’t think I did! I did...

Grain bed doughing up every few minutes.

Had my LHBS store mill up this batch, just like the last two brews. The mill is not adjustable. I'm using the same recipe and grains as the last two brews as well. I noticed the pump starting to sound like a washing machine. I couldn't figure out what was happening, but finally saw that there...

    Water source for CF chiller?

I don't have another faucet to try it on, but FWIW the gaskets were f'd after just one use. Maybe better build quality. Yeah, I don't know anything about threading sizes. 🤷 It's been difficult enough figuring out all the different hose and barb sizes. I still have to triple check when I brew...

    Water source for CF chiller?

Yeah, that's why I was looking for other ideas. Because this one is brand new and leaking. I'll be getting the Grainfather kit, since I can't figure out anything else.

    Water source for CF chiller?

Both pieces have rubber gaskets. 🫤

Opinions on my second ever brew recipe?

Alright. Here we are at 14 days fermentation at 65-67ºF. I took a gravity reading before putting it into our cold room (48-55ºF). It'll hang out in that room for another 14 days. Hoping it'll clear up a bit. Gravity read 1.002. Compared to the OG of 1.032, we're hovering around 3.9% ABV. I was...

    Water source for CF chiller?

Yeah, you take out the aerator and then put in the tap adapter, then screw on the 3/8 barb-to-garden hose NPT adapter shown in the image.

    Water source for CF chiller?

Yep. Found it for $30. >.<

Opinions on my second ever brew recipe?

I assume it needs to be a roller style, not burr / disc style?

    Water source for CF chiller?

No. I purchased this adapter separately. This G30 was gifted to me by my father, who used it for several years, and even modified it to prevent scorching on the element. The CF is even more modified. He snipped the original hoses. >.< So I had to join the nubs that he left with hoses I bought...

    Water source for CF chiller?

I'm trying to figure out a better way to get water to my Grainfather G30's counterflow chiller. For my first brew, I T'd off from my washing machine's water supply. That worked great until I dripped a bit on my water heater. Having a "smart" water heater, it detected a leak and shut down for a...

    Oh, really?! Damn haha.

Opinions on my second ever brew recipe?

So we're on Day 7 of fermentation. I saw activity on Day 1 just after a couple hours. Day 2 was certainly the most active. And it has been gradually getting less active. Now, I'll notice a bubble every 8-12 minutes, I would say. I'm going to let it ride another 7 days, then move it to my cold...

Opinions on my second ever brew recipe?

Yeah! The only reason I've even looked at efficiency is because I want Brewfather and Grainfather predicted numbers to be closer. My goal is brew lower ABV beers, and to do so, I need to know what efficiency is for those apps to make accurate predictions. That said, I'll figure out what my...
