Oh. Just a sugggestion you may want to put a strap around the cooler before you fill it with ice through the door. The latches work good at first but they tend to snap open easier the more you use it. The drop door works great for adding ice though. I just leave a 20 oz. co2 tank inside.
Simple Keggerator for my 5 gallon kegs.
100 qt. ez access cooler stood on end.
I ran foam around the cooler top to keep most of the water inside.
This only is used outside, mainly next to the camper. It does get wet underneath but 3 bags of ice in it will last all weekend with no problem.
20...
I had planned to document this build but once i got started I forgot. :)
New 2.5 gallon kegs with metal handles.
60 qt Rubbermaid rolling cooler from HD.
PVC tower with std Krome faucets.
Co2 is supplied by the brass fitting on the back of the tower by 13g cartridges or tank and regulator...
Here is a pic of my portable kegerator with 2.5's from homebrewing.org.
The right lid that is not closed in the first pic due to the fact the keg is still in the box. :)
I tryed the island breeze but you could not get 2 of these in there.
These are larger diameter than the 2.5 with the rubber ends.
Still havn't taken any pics... maybe tonight.
No, I don't. Had the setup at the Mi homebrew fest couple of weeks ago so maybe someone took a couple of pics.
I could take a couple this weekend. I ment to document the build but hey i got too involved to remember to use the camera.
These things get pretty pricey if you add up all...
No but I have two in a rubbermade 60 qt from Home Depot. It's cheaper and still has wheels and a telescoping handle. I like the twin lid also, my PVC tower is on the left side so I still have access to the right.
Given some of the rentals I lived in going to school there, this is an engineering marvel and constructed way beyond the normal for the area. :) But that was way back in the days of the Alibi and the Creek saloon.
Seriously though, good work.
I saw a manual thermometer the other day that was quite nice. It is a food termometer stuck through the cap of a liquid yeast package (tube with a screw on plastic cap) that was filled with glycol.
Why couldn't you do the same with the temp probe? It would take alot of the temp swings out of...
DO you have a recipe that was used? Grain bill, Hop schedule, etc?
We collected 1500 gallons of sap this spring. Ended up with about 30 gallons of syrup.
We did try to brew coffee with sap but OMG was it sweet.
