Well I ended up leaving it 7 months. Bottled it 16 days ago. Tested one last night. Still needs more time in the bottle but is coming along nicely.
Taste was good, less hoppy than it is supposed to be though.
I couldn't wait so I popped one last night. Carbernation is coming along nicely. It had a decent taste but not as hoppy as it should be.
Still a very drinkable beer.
It would still be a good beer but not the SAME beer. The 1 gallon of freshly juiced blueberries added a unique character to the beer the flaovoring will not.
But like I said, it will still be good beer!!!
Enjoy and let me know how it comes out.
6 lbs extra light DME
1 oz Cascade 60 mins
1 oz Saaz 30 mins
1 oz Hallertaur 10 mins
Very nice Blonde Ale. Can add fruit also. I did it once with Strawberries and it came out very tastey.
1 packet of dried yeast.
Maybe 2 oz total tettnags for 60 mins
We juiced a whole flat of fresh berries and got a gallon of juice.
Hope this helps, let me know how it comes out.
I just bottled a batch that I brewed in August and sat in my primary till last Friday. Mid April I will let you know how it came out.
It was a Pale Ale with S.G of about 1.055
I read Revy's thread which makes things a lot easier. I also bottle while I am waiting for water to boil for another batch. I wash each bottle after I empty it and sanatize with no rinse just prior to botteling
I am up to #29 and find it useful but keep the main recipies on Beer Smith. I use my hand written notes while I brew.
I some times find single beers with numbers on the caps and it helps me know what I am drinking.
