I found the issue. The was a pin inside the sensor that was touching the housing causing a short.

That reads around 40F with a 100ohm resistor.

Should have said Vs, not Cs. Per the unishield manual, I have the power switch set to VR-->Vin and set the DDPS to 8V (manual states 7-9V. I have been running this for a couple of weeks with no issues.

Quick update. I reinstalled the interface firmware. That was successful, but it still will not respond in termite. I am not sure what to do next. Any ideas?

Yes it is ok to run multiple devices off a single power supply, you just need to check the power rating on you power supply. you should be able to get current or power useage from a device data sheet. In general, sensors use very little power, motors and heaters use more. Always on does not...

Resistor size does not matter, it should be very low power. You may want 1% accuracy resistors. Power is 12-30V, so your 24V ps will work well. Wiring is red to 24v, yellow to DC ground and blue to your voltage divider and then analog pin.

Does anyone have a brewday flow chart for how you have set up brucontrol? I don't want all the script detail because I think the differences between systems will make it not so valuable. I have seen some nice setups with timers for each step and would like to see how it was done.

Do I need to wire the aref pin for Brucontrol? Your schematic shows tying it to 5v on a mega. Typically I would not hook up aref unless I wanted a different reference voltage than the interface internal reference.

I get a different answer. 1.8k an 3.3k give 3.24V at 1mA. Am I doing something wrong?
