What is the most useful Brewing item you own?

I'd have to say my temperature controlled fridge for fermenting. I never need to worry about what the temperature is outside or in the garage or what season it is. Its a variable that is nice to not worry about.

    Chocolate PB Anniversary Beer

I was trying to think of something to do for a gift to celebrate my 1 year anniversary with my GF. What else is better than BREWING A BEER! I let her pick the type of beer she wanted to do and she decided on a Chocolate Peanut Butter Stout. I took a couple different recipes with different...

Inkscape is also a good freeware program to use. It's vector based, so it's similar to illustrator. Lots of videos on youtube to help with the tools if you're just starting out too.

    ISO: Victory Old Horizontal

My buddies and I are looking to do a tasting of all the mainstream victory beers and their barrel version counterparts (Baltic Thunder/Red Thunder, Golden Monkey/White Monkey, Old Horizontal/Oak Horizontal). Victory hasn't made old horizontal for around 2 years and I didn't save any.... was...

    Sparge devices

I built something like the fermentap sparge assembly with some PVC and a shower head. It didn't work anything like it thought it would and I kinda felt like I wasted my time. You using it with a pump or by gravity?

just dropped a wad of cash to go all grain

I've found this problem more of a learning process. Once you get use to your system doing all grain, you get a feel for how much water you'll need. For me, it took about 3 times on my system to get a good feel. Now I make sure I boil with 7 gallons to get to 5.5 at the end for an hour long boil...

    Manifold / False bottom

To people who have built a copper manifold: Will 5' of copper be enough to build a round (ish) one for my 10 gal mash run cooler? I'd hate to over spend on copper. I'll be getting some 45's and T's for connecting so I don't think I should need too much for length. I also have a dremel already...
