    Maybe a Gas leak?

Another question on the topic, for all the screw on (flare?) to push in duotight connectors, we used a wrap of Teflon tape. I know metal flare to metal flare you don't need to because the threads are cut to make a seal but I thought plastic to metal it'd be good to, maybe not? Also how tight do...

    Maybe a Gas leak?

Yep, everything is brand new. Can't say as I've noticed 2 rubber rings on the couplers but I'll have a closer look at everything tomorrow.

    Maybe a Gas leak?

Missed responding to your previous post. Flat rubber o ring yes and they were definitely flat and seated well on assumbly but I'll double check with star San spray and see what bubbles. So pressurize thru the manifold and drop the whole coupler into a bucket? Definitely have the manifold shut...

    Maybe a Gas leak?

think we were typing at the same time, how do you avoid the auto tare in the case of power failure? other than just going and manually resetting? Also, I was just looking here: https://www.kegerators.com/articles/co2-leaks/ And was wondering how places like 7 and 12 could be cause of gas...

    Maybe a Gas leak?

I didn't realize any of the digital scales would stay on but I guess plug in ones make sense, I'm used to battery operated food scales. I'd like not to have another hole in the collar for power but it looks like this might be small enough to slide through where my inkbird probe line goes in...

    Maybe a Gas leak?

I was thinking analog so that it didn't shut off as most digital do. Do you mean when I get the co2 bottle filled? I was thinking about unstrapping the regular from the inside of the collar and taking it with the 2 duotight fittings on it to see if they could test somehow (it's a fill while you...

    Maybe a Gas leak?

We don't have ball lock kegs, using sankey D couplers onto commercial kegs but with the ball lock posts added to the couplers to make for easier swapping around and always ready in case a friend brings homebrew. I will check to make sure the posts are on the couplers tight tho. Makes me cringe...

    Maybe a Gas leak?

Well poo! (I have other explatives like FFS! in my head but we'll keep it friendly). I'll get more gas tomorrow (thankful only a $12 spend) and I guess hook up only on part at a time. I have a lager on at a bit higher pressure and am getting the empty keg replaced tomorrow so those 2 go on the...

    Maybe a Gas leak?

So... Got the 4 tap kegerator up and running just before memorial day with only 3 kegs. Poured a beer this past Friday with no problems. Earlier in the week, I had kicked the one sixtle that we immediately untapped and pulled out after we shut off that output on the manifold. So far we've gone...

    Cleaning questions

And I certainly couldn't blame you because in my head these are nothing but "tap condoms". I thought what I got was a standard size, didn't think there'd be "sizes" (size does matter??) My one friend suggested the guitar pick looking things with the short brushes on them instead but didn't...

    Cleaning questions

My cleaning that I did on startup that I planned to keep the same was that I flush with clean water, circulate caustic for 20 minutes and then flush with clean water again until the pH on the water reads the same as it did to start (well water here, tho tested so we know there's no...

    Cleaning questions

I would most definitely never ask anyone to unharsh, unless they were harshing directly AT me, then that $hit needs to stop :)

    Cleaning questions

Huh good point. Never thought of it that way! Do you cover the end of the line somehow until you put a new keg on? I have ball locks on all my ends so I guess nothing should be getting back up there

    Cleaning questions

Hi there, 2 questions, one related to cleaning, one about keeping clean 1.) We just kicked our first keg. As we need to move the kegerator from the garage to it's final space in the basement, we aren't refilling it right away (still have 2 kegs on). Should I circulate the caustic cleaner...

    We have beer!

It was a smashing success even tho the weather most certainly did NOT cooperate with heavy rains most of the day. The kegerator got rave reviews with multiple people asking if we could give them the plans (nope, sorry, not plans for this one) or build them one (most definitely NO according to my...

    We have beer!

So raising the pressure on the hefe wouldn't bring even more foam?

    We have beer!

Just did a few test pours of the Sam porch rocker and our new hefeweizen from a local place. New one came cold but we let it sit for about 5 hours I nthe keezer before tapping (may be an important detail later) First, the regulator is darn finicky. Just a little bump up jumps it up a lot after...

    We have beer!

Seriously me too!! That all sounds lovely! And I love pork scratchings (pork rinds or cracklins here). Had them for the first and only time 2 years ago on a trip to Tennessee and Kentucky at a brewery in Kentucky and they were hot and still popping when to came out. Sooo good!! There's pre-made...

    We have beer!

ok now it's my turn to ask... what's a "nibble" in NZ? I was there in 1990 but I was young and not of drinking age so maybe I missed "nibble"? Here that would be food, of which there'll be plenty.

    We have beer!

That is true on pure math but we have many that aren't drinkers at all, a bunch of kids (which just increases how much beer I need to drink to deal lol!) and then we have a lot of beer in cans bottles and a bunch of guests that don't go anywhere without their cooler of miller light (ugh!) plus...
