    Possible Over-Carbonated Plastic PET Bottles.

Well.. I could, but that might get pricey. I have 16 bottles. So far, it's been pretty easy. I just don't know how many days I need to vent them. It's been 18 days since I pitched the yeast. E

    Possible Over-Carbonated Plastic PET Bottles.

Oh. It was a 5gl batch. Before I bottled, I asked the owner of the LHBS and he said that there were next to none fermentable sugars in it and that I don't need to adjust my priming sugar. DOH!! Well, I could have put it back in my fermenter...... BUT.... I brewed another batch...

    Possible Over-Carbonated Plastic PET Bottles.

Hey, I brewed an Apricot Weizen kit a couple of weeks back. I had it in the primary for exactly 14 days. I usually do 3 to 4 weeks, but I rushed because it's for the wife and I really wanted to get in a stout or something as soon as possible. I'll try to get to the things I think play...

I just dropped a measuring tape into my beer

Sounds like it just might turn out ok. If it was anything like my tape measure, no beer would have been able to survive. My tape tape measure has gear on it, WD40, metal shavings, dry wall, engine oil, wood dust, and I think gas too. :) E

Help Me Figure Out How to Brew With Back Problems

Well, I tried brewing 2 nights ago and I had to stop. I ended up just steeping the speciality grains. I put the lid on it, then put sanitized plastic wrap around the top. Yesterday I finished the rest. We'll see how it turns out. I'll definitely be looking into a march pump. I was...

The Great Angle Iron Single Tier

I was going to say that when I saw that picture. That weld looks a little cold. Are you sure that you got good penetration?? I'm trying to insult your welding skills. I just want to make sure that it's safe. E

    1st batch, 1st bottle bomb

11g of Yeast For A Porter Enough?

Hey, I just opened up a Porter kit that I got from my LHBS and it had two packets of Safale S-04 11g. I'm assuming that it was a mistake and that one packet of 11g is enough. Thanks, E

Letting Steeped Water/Tea Sit For a Couple of Hours

LOL. I shouldn't have any bugs get in because I'll be brewing inside. If I do, then I have bigger problems on my hands. ;) Thanks for the confirmation. I didn't think there would be an issue. I just wanted to double check. Thanks E
