They very rarely are! The larger it is, and the more issues that you are trying to find and fix, the more extra stuff ends up left in!

BruControl: Brewery control & automation software

Do you have an estimate on 1.1 release? Just curious, not looking for a firm date or anything like that.

BruControl: Brewery control & automation software

I have had a couple, so I could be wrong on the following. It looked to me like the low vals checks were set towards the beginning. So once everything was actually going, like once full boil in the boil kettle, those would not apply anymore. I have not gotten into scripting yet with...

    My mostly automated brucontrol setup

Watching your other videos that you posted in the BruControl thread I was wondering why you ran the purge for so long, I am happy to see that you came up with a solution to only purge as long as needed! I have to say, part of what attracted me towards BruControl was the scripting\automation...

BruControl: Brewery control & automation software

I enjoyed the videos you put together. I am not a programmer per se, but I have done a lot of scripting with my day job. One comment I have is to keep the indentations correct, as it is much easier after the fact going through the code! I noticed that in your second video with the endif not...

BruControl: Brewery control & automation software

@BrunDog - Is there a way to reset the flow sensor data without disabling and re-enabling the device? I am still doing everything manually as I have not had time to get into scripting, only me second brew this year! I did notice though that the only way to reset the historical data of the flow...

BruControl: Brewery control & automation software

I just completed a split brewday yesterday, did a kettle sour that started on Sunday, completed boil and packaging yesterday. For the RTD temp probes that were not connected yesterday, -412 or -413 was displayed. EDIT: Sorry, did not see the updates to the thread before I posted this.

BeerSmith 3: Here it comes. Thoughts?

I agree on not being a fan of the cloud licensing model that forces you to pay for the software on a monthly or yearly schedule. However from my understanding of the beersmith licensing, the cloud licensing is not so much for the software, but the additional cloud features like recipe backup...

BeerSmith 3: Here it comes. Thoughts?

Actually Major and Minor are the standard industry terms for version updates. Minor updates keeps the main version the same (2.2 to 2.3), just a small update to the software. Major update is a large change in the software (2.X to 3.X).

BeerSmith 3: Here it comes. Thoughts?

I pre ordered and went with the gold subscription. Two reasons for me to go with the subscription over the standalone. 1. Cloud backups and 2. access to future online tools. I really like the idea of an online editor which would allow me to make a quick change to a recipe at work!

BruControl: Brewery control & automation software

@bdogg171 - Like BrunDog stated, as long as the comcast router is up and operational, so basically the internal house network is up, you would be good to go as device to device communication is all that is needed and not constant internet. However if the comcast equipment itself is crapping out...

Good luck at finding someone to take everything!!! If that does not work out, there are a couple of things like that 5L flask and tilt that I would be willing to take and I am close by!
