Naturally Carbing Mini Kegs and Sealing With Threaded Lid

I have never done that, but I would probably go to about where the top dome starts, as best as I could figure that out to be.

Naturally Carbing Mini Kegs and Sealing With Threaded Lid

One problem you are going to have though is switching the lids on a now carbed up mini keg, there is going to be pressure in there while you are unscrewing the normal lid to change out to the ball lock lid. If that pressure is not released slowly then that screw top will go flying! My normal...

Naturally Carbing Mini Kegs and Sealing With Threaded Lid

I would definitely wait until Williams Brewing has a sale on them. I picked it up when they had a good sale on the items, and the sale included all the addons like the ball lock lid and micro regulator. At standard prices it makes more sense to get one of the new 2.5 or 1.75 gallon kegs from AIH.

Naturally Carbing Mini Kegs and Sealing With Threaded Lid

I have the kegland version of the mini keg (5 Liter) with the ball lock lid. So far it has worked out really well! I also got the micro regulator and have the kegland ball lock flow control and tap. This works great for going to others people houses, or capturing that bit of extra when I have...

Naturally Carbing Mini Kegs and Sealing With Threaded Lid

If you want to use it on a tap then I would say get the ball lock fitting now, but that is me and not wanting to expose to O2.

Lime zest in vodka for Mexican Lager

Agree with the others, wait until fermentation is complete, then start adding it in slowly, gently mix it in and taste, continue until you have the flavor you want and then package. If you are kegging, then I would do it in the keg that you can hit it with co2, purging several times to at least...

Issue removing/unscrewing spout off of Intertap SS faucet

Mine get stuck occasionally. Make sure the spout and your hands are dry. If needed use one of those silicon pads for removing lids, works good on the spout as well as it is a little more grippy.

BlowTie spunding valve help needed, please

Received replacement gauge and this one is just about spot on to what my regulator and original blowtie with separate gauge! Since I did not find anything on removing the gauge, thought I would take a couple of pictures while doing it. First picture shows the replacement gauge next to the...

Mixed-Fermentation Sour Beer Really Easy Fruit Sour

Love the color on that! The logo almost looks fake, like it was added to the picture! I think it is because of the almost glowing like color, really makes that logo on the glass pop!

Mixed-Fermentation Sour Beer Really Easy Fruit Sour

That is always what I do, once fermentation is done add fruit. Once fruit is done cold crash to get everything to drop to the bottom and then transfer to keg. I do not remember the last time that i transferred for secondary! Even when I do 10 gallon batches, it goes right into 2 fermentors.

BlowTie spunding valve help needed, please

For item 2 I assumed it was whatever you had the QD on that was leaking since you mentioned trying to tighten the screw on the top of the QD. If it is at the MFL is it duotight fitting or metal fitting? If it is metal, make sure you have the little plastic or whatever washer on. If it is...

BlowTie spunding valve help needed, please

For item 2: Try keg lube on the o-ring that the gas QD is going on? For item 3: Pull the tube out of the fitting, make sure the cut is pretty straight and not gnarled up, re cut if needed and then re-seat it making sure to push hard on it so that it goes all the way in. If you got the full kit...
