    Soda making for cub scouts

I saw it on the shelf at local Brew and Grow. There might be one close to you. Here is the product on their web site http://www.brewandgrow.com/brew/sprecher-root-beer-1-gallon.html 19.99 to make 5 gallons.....seems pretty decent.

    Beginners kit

Craigslist is great, but you might not know what you all need. Check midwestsupplies and northern brewer for their kits and compare. Sometime they have decent deals. If you live near a LHBS check them out as you will save on shipping. Extract kits are a great start to make good/great beer...

Forgot the OG, should I risk taking a Hydrometer reading?

I wouldn't worry about the OG anymore. Take your reading now, and see if its within their FG range. Check again tomorrow or next day, if it hasn't changed (I would bet it doesn't) you are ready for bottle.

Your used blichmann burner for a new one

Hey guys, I could make things easier for you, since I've worked with each of you. I'm headed up to Appleton this sat and could be your currier. Of course I would have to pick one up on Thursday, exchange with Jon on sat then meet you at NB on Tuesday. Just offering, since gas prices are...

My buddy wants to get started!

First have him become a Supporting Member on here. Most beneficial $25 he'll spend I bought my beginner kit at Midwest, through Livingsocial for $76. It came with an extract kit, plus $25 off another kit. So pretty decent to get me hooked.

Beer and lemonade, in the keg?

Do you think the lemonade and beer would separate once in the keg? What if left for a while? Kinda like oil and water? Just tossing other thoughts/possible issues out there.

    H E L P....OG to FG average times

From my reading on here the hydro reading can be incorrect if just floating in the primary. Extracting a sample with a thief an testing the hydro in there is more accurate. .

Pre-First Batch Ramblings (AG / Kolsch)

So with summer approaching, HOPEFULLY anytime soon, I want to get a jump on a summer Kolsch. I LOVE Alaskan Summer, but I think I’m going to proceed with Ed’s Bee Cave Kolsch. Below is what I have laid out, tell me if I’m sane, and along the right track or completely out of my mind...

    Beginner Impatient to get started.

Thanks guys. I have 2 uncles that each own their own bar, they are saving bottles for me...but I have feeling most of them are going to be Corona. I have to dig up a boiling pot (FatherInLaw is looking for their Turkey Fryer that they never used). I think I just need to purchase an auto-siphon...
