    What are you drinking now?

Every once in awhile I pick one of these up from the gas station with 1,000 beers.

2 extra pounds of grain by mistake. What did I make?

That sounds like a good thing to call it.

2 extra pounds of grain by mistake. What did I make?

Intended grain bill was 1lb pale ale, 7lbs, pilsner, and 4oz acid malt. What happened was 3lbs pale ale with the rest as intended. Hops were .3oz 13.2% Magnum @ 60 and 1oz 6% Willamette @ 20 minutes. Final volume was 5.2 gallons. I was expecting 1.046 or so and ended up with 1.061...

    Love Golf?

Shorter shaft helps me make solid contact. I don't know what I'll get with the shaft, it seems to vary when it comes to stock shafts. I wanted lower torque which is found in the stiff shaft. I've never been able to make a higher torque shaft work for me, I'm too unsmooth on the downswing...

    I guess hibernation is over.....

That bear is walking fairly nonchalant, I'd be concerned. It also looks well fed, almost like someone in the neighborhood is sharing food with it? My freak out factor would go to a 4.5 after seeing that.

    Love Golf?

And I just ordered a 9 degree Rouge with a 6.0 Project X Evenflow Blue shaft cut down 2 inches with 3 wraps on a stock grip. Hope they swingweight it this time. Last time they cut the shaft, reinstalled the stock original grip and did nothing with correcting the swing weight. I have a swing...

Show us your Mead in a photo!!!

Two years old. One year ago it was harsh enough that I added whole cloves and cinnamon to cover the harshness. Now it's very smooth, time to bottle and cork.

To Lager, or Not to Lager...

My experience as an impatient brewer has been that it always gets better over time when lagering. It's possible to brew a lager style that isn't offputting in taste without really lagering it but it still gets better as time goes on. The last few beers are always the best for me. This is with...

Shut down leisure activities-what are y'all doing to pass the time?

Are they too big for a pellet rifle or .22? Not sure what I'm going to do about squirrels in my garden when everything comes up. An air rifle is considered a firearm where I live and is verboten to discharge. I do have plenty of chicken wire. Squirrels already steal all of the walnuts from...

    Love Golf?

@applescrap I am a little wary of the preowned drivers. I will only get the like new (usually returned floor models imo) or outlet. I always think there might of been a problem with a driver someone traded in less than a season. But it's just how I think about most things, skeptically...

The actual difference between APA and IPA?

The difference? More hops and alcohol to the British soldiers serving in India where high heat would skunk a beer. I'll take some heat for this but I'll say it anyway. Some of the commercial IPA's I've had have a whole lot of hops to cover up for a poorly made product. No mystery, just add...

    Remember when...

Remember when it was just good planning to buy a months worth of groceries so you didn't have to go back for a month? Now it's almost a crime and called hording. Why? Because we want to have a months worth of groceries so we don't have to go back for a month? New normal, lol.

    Sourdough Kvass-ish?

At one time I made kvass fermented with sourdough starter on a daily basis. Never bottled, just made sure to drink it on the 3rd day. ABV would range from 2.5% to 5%. This was before I brewed beer. Best results were with burned dark rye bread, sugar, and starter in a half gallon mason jar...
