As I tilted the bucket the hose came off due to the weird angle it was being pushed against the opening of the carboy. Tried to fish it out but there was just no way it was going to happen. This batch as been transferred already. The next batch I will leave in the bucket, and just have an airlock on the bucket from day one. Thanks for the input!

my carboy has a spigot, Im thinking it would have been more handy on the bucket than it would have been on the carboy. luckily, I have the technology to add one myself!

The instructions say nothing about the sediment at bottom and the krausen. When I transferred into the carboy I leave all this in the bucket or it should be put in with the rest of the liquid? edit: Reread the instructions and it does say not to disturb, but just looking to verify.
