    No Airlock Activity??

I did just look at it quickly and there is no evidence of krausen, or CO2 smell.

    No Airlock Activity??

I finished my 9th batch (3rd AG) on evening of Thursday the 2nd, since then there has been absolutely no activity in the airlock, not even pressure to push the liquid to one side of the airlock. All my other brews the airlock has bubbled quite vigorously or I even needed a blowoff. So I know...

    American IPA All Amarillo IPA

Yeah, I would give it a few more days to see. If that does not settle it you could try cold crashing it, or place a hop/grain bag over the end of your racking cane to act like a filter... I have never been too careful about it, I always heard if you get hops in the bottle its good luck ;)

    American IPA All Amarillo IPA

I always use whole hops for dry hopping and they never seem to drop to the bottom, I just rack from between the hops and the trub. I typically dry hop for 7 days, but have have left them in for nearly 3 weeks without any ill-effects.

    American IPA All Amarillo IPA

I highly recommend dry-hopping it. The Amarillo aroma is outstanding!

Do I need to have a full 5 gal in my corney?

New to kegging. I was planning to keg my first beer here shortly, I brewed a 5 gal batch but it seems to have a lot of trub/sediment. Does putting 3.5 or 4 gals into a 5 gal keg have any effect? If so... I guess I will bottle. Thanks

quick hop question for a NW style Red Ale

Thanks for the info. I think I will just go for it. I enjoy a good hoppy bitterness, I may just throw in a bit of the galena at 30 or 40 min. OG should be around 1.055 This is the recipe I formulated: http://hopville.com/recipe/179102/american-pale-ale-recipes/northwest-red-ale

quick hop question for a NW style Red Ale

I have a recipe for an extract NW Red Ale. The recipe calls for: 1 1/4oz of Amarillo (bittering) 1 oz of Cascade (aroma) my question is I have Cascade and Galena in my freezer, would I be fine substituting the Galena (~12%) for the Amarillo or will the higher AA make the final beer to...

WTB: Wall Mount 3 Pressure CO2 regulator with high pressure line

your probably right, I just really liked the idea when I saw it.

WTB: Wall Mount 3 Pressure CO2 regulator with high pressure line

Simplicity mainly. Regulators stick out, when you need to fill your tank you need to remove it and be careful with it.... I don't know it just seemed like a better/cleaner idea to me.
