    I haven't had Zombie Dust yet, however I noticed that the first hop addition is at 20 min. Is that enough time to isomerize alpha acids to impart some bitterness? I understand that late additions are in vogue, I just imagined that there might be a little warrior or magnum to start the boil.....

    How much to make a keggle?

    You can pick up the angle grinder and cutting wheels for under 30 sheckles at Harbour Freight. As stated above there are a zillion posts and lots of you tube clips on how to do it. Plus all the sparks make you feel like youre playing with KISS.

    So that was the case....I took apart the siphon and re-taped everything....sucks the wort like a two-bit....ummm nevermind..it works!

    Bukowski is epic! I read all of his stuff years ago. His poetry is quite powerful as well. If you like him you should check out John Fante, Burrows and of course Karoauk.... Im currently reading some non-fiction. A book called "Drink: A Cultural History of Alcohol." Its an awesome read...

    No siphon in dip tube

    Absolutely. However, the more I think about it I dont think I teflon taped the barbed nozzle connection to the ball valve. That may be where I'm introducing air and defeating the siphon. Ill test and report back when I get home.

    I didnt realize the Pgh Whole Foods had homebrew stuff. Is there more than just the exrtract? Do you think it could be used as an "emergency" resource for brewing as our LHBS has some not completely fantastic hours and is closed on Sundays (my usual brew day)?
