    Post your infection

I think so. If it tastes drinkable to you, there is reason no really to dump it.

    Fruit Beer Succulent Strawberry Blonde

Here is what mine looks like at bottling. The color doesn't really come through. It's really red, almost like a red ale mixed with koolaid. It's also a lot clearer than I expected. To me, it's pretty tart right now. However, I almost had to tie SWMBO down to keep her from diving into the...

    Force carbing is slooooow...

Ya, I am pushing 2 weeks now and it's getting pretty good. I am going to try the "30psi for 48 hours then down to serving pressure for 5 days" method with my next keg. If I can get to a decent carbonation level in a week that way, I would be perfectly happy with that.

Cutting and welding 5 gallon cornelius "corny" kegs to be smaller?

+1 It doesn't have to be a 5 gallon batch to put it in a 5 gallon keg.

    Getting Labels Off Bottles

+1 I stopped caring about the labels on my Amstels. Those suckers aren't going anywhere. I do still take labels off the bottles that have paper labels though, since I use my dishwasher to santize and don't want to have to worry about clogging it with paper that came loose.

    Force carbing is slooooow...

I blame SWMBO. She's an insatiable beast. Luckily, she's also a lightweight so as long as she's not hindering my carbing process I'll let her have her fun :p

    Force carbing is slooooow...

For the record...pulling a pint here and there doesn't slow down the carbonation process, correct?

    Force carbing is slooooow...

Now that they are on their way, I will just be patient. I think I'll give Bobbys method a try on my next fresh keg.

    Force carbing is slooooow...

I've had an IPA and Hefe in kegs for 10 days now. These are the first two batches I have ever kegged. They have been at 12psi and 40F the entire time. When I make a pour, I get about an inch of head that has very little retention. There are some tiny bubbles in suspension but nothing special...

    Getting Labels Off Bottles

I tried goo-gone on those and it was a glorious failure. Best bet is to peel the labels by hand then soak in oxyclean to loosen the glue and then it comes off with a little scrub. So far Amstel/heineken have been the hardest bottles to clean by far. Sam Adams have been the easiest.

    Kegerators!

People like the collar because then you don't have to drill holes in the freezer itself, making the process reversible. If you have enough height already, and you don't care about the holes then go ahead and skip the collar. Like Shooter said though, I would go with a tower because drilling...

Just bought Perlick 525SS Faucet Shank Combo w/ Knob $25ea

Correct, it appears the deal is over. At this point we are basically just waiting to see if everyone that got an order in before they took it down actually receives them. So far it looks like everyone is going to.

I cannot get my home brew to carbonate! :(

It sounds like your beer lines might be getting too warm. Is there a fan in your kegerator to circulate the cold air?

Whens the last time you funneled a beer?

It's been years now. I was never a very good funneler but we used to shotgun a bunch in college right before we'd go to the hockey games. I used to have one of these, it was great. It lets you shotgun a bottle basically. Much safer than messing with knives and sharp aluminum :p...

    Wyeast Activator... Add more?!

The packet inside contains the nutrient so if you don't get all of that I don't think it really matters. As long as you pitched everything that was in the "main" area of the bag, I wouldn't worry about it.

That's awesome. Glad to hear that it sounds like they are filling all these orders. :rockin:

Just bought Perlick 525SS Faucet Shank Combo w/ Knob $25ea

Np. Just saying my gut tells me that if you don't bug them a month will go by and then you'll get an email saying "Sorry, order canceled, we don't carry that anymore".
