    volume meter?

Just know how much is left in the kettle after you drain it fully and account for that in the site glass. With my dip tube I leave about 2 cups in the hlt so I just add a extra two cups to whatever I need.

    Man, I love Apfelwein

Used the motts natural, after taking the gravity I think that it is clear but the color is just different than normal apple juice. The reading was a .99 so I feel good about it, thanks for the help.

    Man, I love Apfelwein

I made this in January and haven't messed with it until today. I went to look at it and I noticed that it is not clear, it looks like the second one in the original picture. Notes, it did bubble for awhile but I never got the rotten egg smell out of it. Any concern or ideas?

    Aluminum keg smoker?

Worked out well I think. Chicken was a little dry but that's to be expected from what I have read. Threw some BBQ on them and back to moist and delicious.

    Brew stand 2.0

Lessons learned: 1. ****s hot on the stand 2. My boil off was much more than I expected, got about 8.5 off of 11 gallons pre boil Other than that was a pretty smooth first brew.

    Show us your Kegerator

Thanks! This has been in my family for about 100 years and my mom was about to get rid of it so I gutted it and made it a shell for a fridge. I'm using a 4.1 Cb ft fridge that holds 2 cornies and a CO2 bottle. The fridge and wood sit on furnature sliders so when I have to change a keg out I...
