I just throw the non-ipod on shuffle. It has a ton of Rush, Dream Theater, Genesis, Black Crowes and Primus...amongst a ton of other stuff.

I'm doing this hobby all wrong...I think my mortgage is the only expense that tops this damn hobby.

I use a combo chiller/ice bath on 5.5 gallons. I use just the chiller until the wort gets under 100, then pop it in the ice bath. I'm at pitching temp in under 20 minutes.

I learned today that I will never, ever, dump my beer. Almost 2 weeks in the bottle, I decided to see what was going on with this batch. While it is far from my best, I've made far worse. I'm just going to be safe and drink these really fast...that shouldn't be a problem. I've got more...

I dumped some yeast the other day, then went downstairs this morning and noticed I had left the airlock off of the fermenter. Here was my reward:

I didn't watch the video, but after going AG around February, I look back now and wonder why I was so intimidated about it. Once you figure out how your MLT handles water temps, it's a breeze. Tonight I'm getting brave and trying something just for the hell of it. I have a 3 gallon carboy...

No nerves struck :) If a 5 gallon conical is the dumbest thing I ever purchased, I'd consider myself pretty good...unfortunately, I have a very expensive freezer that I told my wife is doubling as my coffin:D All I'm saying is that most of us have little things that we like that other people...
