My brew today, and my next brew...

12 years ago, first wife got me a kit. (IPA). Hated it. Put the kit up and later gave it away. Restarted 6 months ago as a hobby to deal with life when my son is not with me. Now at 43, brewing is a relaxation that I need every other week.

This! (Though more of the 2 legged kind than the 4 legged, or maybe I am just thinking of my ex-wife. HA!)

Don't visit bars, so not sure there, but would not be surprised you are accurate. I know with breweries they can fill (Though some only fill their own growlers, so no bringing in your own). Which would lend some to what you experienced. Some breweries up here may not want bars to fill...

In no particular order... Write a novel. Have a farm (or property enough to grow some grapes and hops). Be HAPPILY married. (0 fer 2 on that one.) and Go to England/Scotland/Ireland

4 oz of Cascade, 4 oz of Cluster, 4 oz of Mittlefruh and some Lemon Peel came in one box. (usps) The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug for movie night with my 5 year old (fed ex) and Ball Jars so I can harvest some yeast. (ups). So the big three around here came for a visit. :D

Brothers in arms ... 2 1/2 gallons of English Pale Ale and 2 1/2 gallons of Irish Stout. Pale is looking great! I can see the entire sediment on the bottom. Haven't had one this clean without cold crashing/gelatining it.

I have two batches of this in the fermenter right now. (Both 1 gallon). Had some Apple Cider so I made one with Cider and the other with Apple Juice. My sister and her husband love ciders so it is more for them. Thank goodness I have about 2 months before I see them again.
