I'm with you guys also, 1 mouthful and it was assigned to the missus...not for me. Although, i'm not a huge fan of fruit beers to start with - was looking forward to the porter.

Some Ply - I got a bit nervous after your post so i conducted a heat test of my own. It was really hot, no scorching or burning though - worse i guess is that it could crack. maybe should add a fire extinguisher to the side.

Yes the uprights are 4x4 - with hindsight, something smaller could have been used. It's solid though :cross: Will be interested to see pics after you fire your's up, metaphorically not literally.

Hi - Can someone give me any tips on how they experiment with various brews? For example - I want to play around with some porters and stouts. Do you halve/quarter batches, perfect that - then move to larger batch sizes? Cheers, Sean
