    Are most people just taking a sample of wort, letting it cool, and making a hydrometer reading after each runnings and then again once all the wort is in the kettle to get their measurements?

    Beverage factory

    I also go to them, and have had no complaints. I even had a similar problem trying to get an old dial off a regulator, i took it in, and they took it off, and put the new gauge on for me. Ive never ordered online though.

    Thanks for all the feedback. Im still getting to know my equipment, so next time i should come alot closer to my target temp. I discovered a thermometer that was WAY off during this run, and it has been retired.

    Sam Adams Longshot Results are in....

    I scored a 33.5 on my ESB. Much better score than I expected because i know i can improve on it. It was only my second batch. (they are lucky they didn't get one of the gushers).
