Hmm, interesting, I love the hop's in Pilsner Urquell, but that wouldnt work in an american wheat or stout I wouldnt think :o

I hate the taste of cascade! Substitutions?

I made a Honey Wheat with Willamette as the bittering and Cascade for the finishing hops. I added the .5 oz Cascade at the last 15 minutes of the boil. Well, I realize I HATE the taste of Cascade! Must have been the Sierra Nevada Pale Ale I got completely sh!tfaced off every weekend during...

You know, im not really sure. I havent found anything that says it could happen, so I guess its not an issue? I dont know enough about chemicals to know if some have the ability to leach into glass some how. Maybe someone knowledgeable can chime in.

Has anyone confirmed what exactly was in the carboys? Im just concerned that there was a chemical inside that will leach into your beer and make you sick. Not trying to be a party pooper or anything, I would just hate to see that happen.

(homer simpson) D'oh! Dropped digital Therm in Star-San

Should be good to go. Like the above poster stated, some modern electronics can be submerged in water, and as long as they are turned off/battery removed and let to dry, they should operate again.

Has anyone had no signs of carbonation after 7 days?

Yup. Ive had some that are carbed in a week (let them sit two anyway) and some that are not. Its a bummer, but you just gotta do the basics, Make sure its carbing warm enough, and wait! Check at two weeks, you may have to wait three or four :mug:

    Noooooooo!!!

Ouch! Roundup? Wonder if that would go good in an IPA lol. As for the gardener, I would put some little red flags at the base of anything you dont want touched, maybe that would work better as long as the translator tells him to stay away from the red flags.

    Clearing

I used to think it was never that important, as long as it tasted great, who cares. But recently ive been looking at my dark extract beers and thinking how nice it would be if they were clear like commercial brews. I think that clarity would could in competitions mostly. Im going to my lhbs...

    New Photoshop is NUTS

Warning: :off: sorry! :p I hear you. Windows code is so bloated, and theres so much of it, it would be almost impossible to conduct a complete audit, fix all the issues, and still have it function properly. God bless *BSD and Linux(Slackware in particular). I used to do a lot of programming...

    New Photoshop is NUTS

I completely agree. I turn people on the OpenOffice all the time as well as Gimp. There are some great open source operating systems and software out there, you just have to have an open mind and be willing to try something new :)
