    Bottling for competition

When you ship to a competition the cutoff for submission is early, so they will be chilled for at least several days beforehand. Your beer will be fine while it is shipped while warm, no issues if filled properly.

    Logo decision...

I like the first one... I like the red on black. Plus if you want to add some text around the logo it would still look nice.

    beer and weight

Wow, a lot of misinformation in this thread. While there are a lot of variables that come in to play such as age, weight, lean body mass, your basal metabolic rate, etc... It does really come down to one thing. Calories in vs Calories out. My advice is to stay away from the junk food while...

    Orange Honey Wheat

I would go for orange zest rather than marmalade. Safale-05 works great for American Wheat's. Good luck!

Worst brew-related incident so far. SWMBO almost kicked me out.

Lol... I agree that theres something else bothering her and she is blowing up at the smell. I would try to figure out the reason why rather than change your brewing habbits, because that just sounds unreasonable for her to almost kick you out because of it... how about you kick HER out...

Best commercial beer bottles for homebrew

+1 for Sierra Nevada bottles. Nice shape, labels come off easy, no markings. I think the most important thing is having bottle uniformity. I have half Sierra Nevada, a quarter Hoegaarden, and the rest Widmer/Sam Adams(yuck). Going to try to get all Sierra nevada.

    Bottle Carbing Question

Give it time! None of my brews have been carbed in 5 days. Leave them between 68-72 degrees for two full weeks, pop one in the fridge and try it out, should be fully carbed. If not, let sit another week. :mug:

    Light Beer?

It is astounding to me that some people drink light beer for the purpose of getting drunk. You have to drink TWO mgd64's to get the same alcohol as a regular beer, AND you are probably close to or over the calories because you had to drink two to get the same effect.

    Sam Adams cherry wheat

I actually dont mind the Cherry Wheat. I think it comes down to your past experiences with certain medacines and being sick. Its like when you get totally **** faced off something and get a horrid hangover, it just doesnt taste the same again.

Brewings from Chesterfield county Virginia (Winterpock area)

Welcome! Good to see another Virginia brewer here. Im currently in Williamsburg. It helps that your wife is supportive. Mine is, but like most all wives fears 'alcohol' will take over my life(not the case at all, I just love to brew!) Good luck on the AG transition! :mug:

    Greetings from Goldens Bridge, NY!

Welcome! Nice, I want to try a California Common myself. I know how life can get in the way of brewing as well. Glad you got back into it!
