I just thought I'd come back and give an update on this. This beer turned out nice. Certainly not a "big beer," but then again that was never the intent. Color is a nice golden amber, clarity is excellent, and also has a nice snow-white head. I tried my first taste at 3 weeks in the bottle...

I've put some serious effort (...drinking) into amassing a fairly large stockpile of Grolslch swingtop bottles. Between the slightly larger capacity (15.3 oz) and not having to worry about capping, I'm really happy with them. At least as happy as you can be if you're bottling and not kegging...

So I've had this in the secondary now for a couple of weeks. My cook date was 12/1 so I'll probably be bottling this around New Year's Day. My OG on this was a whopping 1.080. Probably not a record breaker, but certainly the highest OG I've had for any of my batches so far. Can't wait to see...

The Brewers best kit has 3.3 lb. Pilsen LME and 2.0 lb. Wheat DME. It's turned out to be one of my favorites.
