If you have a welder or know someone who does, couuldn't you just add a few reinforcement supports?

I was able to score 120 brown 16 oz Grolsch bottles for $50. A friend of my dad's was cleaning out his fathers garage and was looking to get rid of them. Right place, right time I guess.

No trip to Chi-town would be complete without a stop at Goose Island. Our homebrew club did a Chicago trip and went to Flossmor, Piece and GI. We were all very impressed with the beer at Flossmor and the pizza at Piece.

I'm michur's SWMBO and yes, I told him to get a hobby so that he'd stop nagging me about the entire room I have for scrapbooking...and now he's taking over the basement! If he buys a march pump I'm definitely getting a Cricut!

This will be the worst next 3 months for me. No brewing. Or at least very little. This is my busy time of year at work, tax season. But will be a great April 19th! My fridge is fully loaded and ready to go.

The best part of this obsession is that SWIMBO told me to find a hobby so it's all her fault. I've also noticed that this obession spreds like a virus. Since infecting me it has attacked by brother-in-law and a few of my good friends. Just invted them over once to watch/help a brew session...

I'm in IA. Been a Steeler fan since the mid-70's. My FIL lives in Detroit and got me a Terrible Towel when the won the SB there. My son has a Big Ben jersey he loves.

How far open do you turn the needle valve? I open the tank all the way and then can only get the needle valve 1/4 turn open before it flames out. I've done two AG batches with the same tank so I'm clearly not using as much propane as I could. What am I doing wrong? :drunk:

That's the one I have. Are you using the 30 psi regulator? If i turn it up past 1/4 of a turn I just get a flame out. Anything I can do to cut down time on brew day is a plus.

Never thought of that. But wouldn't you lose any protection from the wind if the burner is up too high above the skirt?
