Our take on the weldless single tier (Picture and detail intensive)

Nice work. I'm in the process of building a weldless stand myself and this will be of great help. I am using the slotted angle iron since I got it for free. Before that I had considered using old bedframes which I had planned to scan Craigslist for. I do like the look of the solid angle iron...

    Pineapple hefeweizen?

I like the idea. Alchemist Heady Topper and Avery Flower Power are 2 IPA's that I have tried that get a pineapply flavor from the hops they use. I wouldn't mind trying something like a pineapple Hef or even an unfiltered IPA using the hops that give off that pineapple scent/flavor.

Thinking about opening a DIY brew store.

I like the idea. I started out in a BYO facility in Nashua NH. There is also one here in MA. Anytime I was there, from what I could tell, they had a pretty good customer base. Sure, you may lose some customers to brewing at home, but many may stay simply for the convenience of using the...

    Heady Topper

I'd love to see a Heady Topper clone recipe! That is some good stuff, but tough to get in the Boston area. I've got a friend that goes up to VT just to get some and he occasionally brings me back some. I hear it will be available around here soon and cant wait!

    Hi from Wakefield, Ma!

Welcome from Lynnfield. This forum is a wealth of useful knowledge and an awesome resource. You are gonna love kegging your beer. I started kegging about 2 years ago and never looked back. So much easier than bottling.

    Some browning of my cones

Hello. I just harvested a bunch of hops today. Some of the cones have some parts that have browned. Are they still OK to use or should I chuck the ones that have browned a bit?

    keggle weld questions

Thanks for the info. I wish I had thought of all this before I went to the welder in the first place. Unfortunately, I am still a noob when it comes to all grain.

    keggle weld questions

I have 3 kegs with the tops cut off and drilled 3 holes in each. One for the temp gauge, one for a sightglass, and one for a ball valve for drain. My wife purchased the sightglasses & temp guages from you Bobby as a birthday gift for me. The half couplings will work perfectly for those, and they...

    keggle weld questions

Thanks for the advice guys. Looks like just some slag inside the vessels. Welds look good after a closer look, just some little balls of metal around the weld that I should be able to grind right off. As for the backward fittings, I am gonna purchase 3 more half couplings and bring them back to...

    my keggle build pics

"I realize I am digging up an old thread, but I was wondering if you could tell me how far up from the bottom you drilled the holes, for the valve and thermometer?" What I did was, I filled the keg with 5 gallons of water. Then I marked where I wanted the valve, thermometer and sightglass...

Semi-Automatic HERMS System (Work in Progress)

First of all, congrats on your upcoming new addition to the family. Second, congrats on finishing your rig BEFORE the new addition arrives. I have got an 11 month old son and he eats up a lot of time. I love him more than I had ever imagined I would so I don't mind some of my hobbies...
