    Homebrew and Hangovers

Well, forget my OP. I was just lucky, I guess, because I feel like hell today.

    Grain Crush Frustration

Yeah, the latter. Brew #1 was .007 low, and brews #2 and #3 were .010 low. I'm going to have a Blonde that will be around 3.4 ABV (depending on attenuation). I'm calling it Blonde Joke.

    Grain Crush Frustration

I did a triple brew day yesterday. When I was sparging brew #3 and taking the OG on brew #1, I realized that my grain didn't look right. Lots of floaters and numerous uncracked hulls. Long story short, the crush was not adequate and my efficiency suffered. My Stout ended up almost ten points low...

What I did for beer today

I brewed an American Stout, a Biere de Garde, and a Blonde Ale. And I drank some of my Scottish Export.

    Hi From Eugene, OR

Mt Angel! I've driven through there once, but can't say I remember much about it other than some cool looking building. I guess I will remember it better once the next Oktoberfest comes around!

    Hi From Eugene, OR

I'm actually not a big fan of Ninkasi, although they have a new pale ale I love. Pacific Rain, I think.

I priced my next three brews, a Biere de Garde, a Stout, and a Blonde. $60.75.

    Hi From Eugene, OR

I've been brewing for a few months (4 maybe?) and am absolutely hooked. I was already a bit of a beer geek, but am not a hophead at all (I enjoy the occasional IPA, but only one or two once in a while). I moved to Eugene a year and a half ago, and everything was super hop-forward. Finding a...

    Homebrew and Hangovers

That's the thing, I have 2 kegged right now, one is over 7% and the other is at 6%. Not super high, but not low, either. I crushed them both last night and felt great this morning.

    Homebrew and Hangovers

So my hangovers should be worse, then? Yay, I must brew magic beer!

    Homebrew and Hangovers

I asked this question on another forum and just got a bunch of snide remarks questioning my intelligence, so I decided to try a new forum. Anyway, I have noticed that no matter how much of my homebrew I drink, I don't ever get a hangover. I sleep great, and wake up feeling refreshed. This...
