    Brewing with homegrown hops

Here is a couple pics I took of them last week. I started with full crowns I ordered from Great Lakes Hops (I got my Avatar pic from their webstie). I think the full crown instead of starting with Rhyzomes really helped with first year results. Thanks for the input! anyone brew with homegrown...

    Brewing with homegrown hops

I am getting excited to have my first harvest of homegrown hops! looking like I will have at least a couple pounds of Cloumbus hops, and probably a half pound of Glacier hops. I am wondering what to expect from brewing with my own hops. Will I be let down? Totally stoked? I'd like to hear some...

    brew stand design question

Also really love seeing this. I am piecing together my own 'Brutus style single tier setup.' Now all I need is to weld the stand, and that looks exactly like what I want to build. How hard was it learning to weld? Got Plans??

Sight glass on Mash Tun or no sight glass on Mash Tun?

Im currently using 3 keggles. I only put a sight glass on the Liqour Tank and the Boil Kettle thinking there was no need on on my mash tun, and that grains may get in there. Any thoughts? or reasons why I should pop one on there? Cheers! :rockin:

    Great Lakes Hops

Columbus is doing a bit better than the Glaciers, but they are all shooting out sidearms. Pretty happy for year 1!

Heading to Wal-Mart today to check out the RV hoses... I have been using a wagon to cart my keggles back and forth from the garage to the house. Its getting old.

American Barleywine Her Majesty's Pleasure Fusion Barleywine (awards)

I brewed this last December. I plan on poppin' bottles during this year's Holiday season. What is the best way to succesfully bottle this? I have made a "Bier Muncher Bottle Filler" would kegging, carbonating, and BM Bottlefilling be a good route? This sits way to long to end up flat. -Thanks!
