    Graham's English Cider

So I decided to give this a try, as SWMBO has been begging me to make a cider for her. I am going to make 2 seperate batches. One with Nottingham, the other with White Labs English Cider Yeast. I borrowed the method I will be using from another cider thread here on HBT and thought I'd share it...

Need Recipe Advice: Chocolate Cherry Stout

I've had great results with adding cacao nibs to the secondary. I have also always subscribed to adding fruit puree to the secondary. I would add the puree to an empty, clean, sanitized fermenter, then rack the stout onto the fruit, then add a muslin bag with about 7 or 8 oz. of cacao nibs to...

    Clogging plate chiller question

The 5 gallon paint bag attached to the hop spider is the same concept as using bags for each addition except you don't have to use several bags or retrieve one main bag to make additions. it works really well and was one of the best DIY's I ever added to my homebrew setup. Especially since I...

    Clogging plate chiller question

I love my 40-plate chiller. I clogged it right away, so I immediately consulted HBT for guidance. I built a Hop Spider using a SS sink flange, some long bolts, and a few nuts. Great DIY and super cheap (about 20 bucks). I attach 5 gallon paint strainer bags from the spider and can make as many...

I got received a Blichmann Beer gun for Christmas from SWMBO. I am going to try it out on this batch. This batch was brewed over a year ago, pretty stoked to try it out. It is force carbonating in my Keezer right now. I have it set at 12 PSI with the temp at 43 Degrees F. I figure I will be...

    Brew kettle opinion?

Sight glass is well worth it. Thermometer, not so much (if you're on a budget) I made keggles for pretty cheap. If you can optain an empty keg (or create one) this is the way to go in my opinion. plus there is something really cool about brewing beer out of a keg. Brew Hardware is a good place...

    Brutus 10ish Build

Thinking of starting a build like this this summer. How much did the steel run ya? I've already got plates, pumps, keggles, disconnects and hoses... I'm have basically been rocking this setup on 3 floor burners for about 2 years now, and looking to finally build the stand. Did you buy a used Tig...
