    Hop Spider

    I'm glad I wasn't drinking anything when I read that! ;-)

    Motor for Milling Station?

Well, I wasn't planning to actually hook it up without someone that really knows what I have to help me. After doing some Google searches, I had questioned what kind of capacitor it was, as well. Prior to that, I didn't know there were different types. The motor was used for a chandelier...

Are there any Mazer clubs in Delaware?

If you want to be added to the distribution list for our club newsletter, just send me an email. (scott at firststatebrewers.com) That way you'll get a reminder each month along with directions to each meeting. :mug:

    Motor for Milling Station?

Perhaps. It had originally all been hooked up to that circuit board you see in the picture. Do you think that needs to be used? Not sure what it does. The only thing that was controlled besides the motor was the light of the chandelier.

    Hop Spider

Here's my hops spider build: https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f51/better-stainless-hop-spider-318491/ The only drawback with using it is that the paint strainer bags will clog up and hold a lot of the wort like a balloon when you go to remove it. I have to set it in a colander to strain the...

    Motor for Milling Station?

Thanks! Only takes me a couple minutes to grind my grain powered with a drill. I'm hoping this motor will do the same.

    Motor for Milling Station?

That's good advice. Can anyone tell me how to wire it up to use? I'm stupid when it comes to electricity!

Are there any Mazer clubs in Delaware?

I don't know of any clubs like that. Since that's your passion, if you can't find one you should start one! There are a few people in the First State Brewers that also make mead, cider or wine. There's no conflict of interest in starting another club. I would encourage folks in my club to...

    Motor for Milling Station?

Anyone have any experience with electric motors? I salvaged a chandelier lift system from my mother-in-law's previous home. It has a 1/3 hp motor with a belt system. I'm trying to figure out if it can be used to power my JSP Maltmill. Here's a pic after I stripped away the...

Two CO2 Bottles Now Empty Due to CO2 Leak

I would certainly try it. Also, when you get your tanks refilled, you could pressurize your kegs and then disconnect the CO2. Next day, check to see if they all still have pressure. If not, the tank might be leaking.

    Bleach for sanitation??

I used bleach for 20 years and never had any problems. I always rinsed everything out completely. However, I have since switched over to using StarSan and would recommend you use that, instead.

Two CO2 Bottles Now Empty Due to CO2 Leak

First of all, have you tried to check for leaks by pouring a soapy solution over all the fittings? Bubbles will identify a leak. Second, are you using food-grade silicone?

You need to have it make that TARDIS noise when you open the door! :)

    Delaware

I think you have a good point. In fact, I think I remember reading a caution against this type of bias in the BJCP Study Guide.
