Building a Shed. Need some help

I see you live in Denver. While you're digging a trench for your electric, consider digging one to bury a water line below the frost level. You just may get the urge to brew during a blizzard! LOL!

Building a Shed. Need some help

I'd move the shed closer to the house. I couldn't imagine brewing without water & electric.

    Mobile Wort Chilling Station

I've only used the counter-flow chiller twice. The first time without a pre-chiller my wort went into the fermentor at 75°F. The 2nd time WITH the pre-chiller, my wort came out at 70°F. I figure I might as well use the pre-chiller, since it's simple enough to use.

    Mobile Wort Chilling Station

I have combined my immersion pre-chiller with my counter-flow chiller. The base is an old milk crate. Inside I have a cat litter bucket to hold ice water for pre-chilling the tap water which runs through the counter flow chiller sitting on top. I've attached wheels and a handle salvaged...

    Stainless Fermenter Build

That is beautiful! Any idea of the costs of the stainless and other materials? I know it was free to you, but I'm curious what it would cost me if I had to purchase the materials. If I found a stainless welder, I might look into having something like this built, myself!

    Freezer/Fermentation Cabinet and Controller

I just built a fermentation chamber and am using the same temperature controller. I tried taping the probe to my carboy and covering tightly with thick insulation. However, every time I opened the chamber door, the temperature indicated on the controller would rise several degrees in a matter...

    Another Fermentation Chamber Build

Yes, I studied your thread before building mine. Thanks! I just didn't want to attempt gutting my fridge. I will be able to utilize the fridge the way it is. The shelf comes in handy!

    Another Fermentation Chamber Build

I'm going to find out. I made sure to get the 2-inch insulation board, which is pretty thick. I have tested that it drops and hold the air temperature to 35°F degrees, but my garage has been in the high 60s. Last night I placed a glass carboy secondary in there fermenting an Abby Dubbel...

    Another Fermentation Chamber Build

Thanks to many other threads on this forum, I have built the following fermentation chamber. Here you see the old dorm fridge I am encasing with a 2x4 frame. I bought 2-inch insulation board as the walls of the chamber. The floor of the chamber was actually a cut-out piece of the...
