    Cool, point taken on the primary/secondary situation... but what if im not kegging (which I'm not) Since I'm using bottles would they be ready to go as soon as i have proper carbonation? How long does it need to condition in the bottle? Thanks again! Cheers

    What program

    I use Illustrator. Its Def the best for this kind of stuff. I'd say Photoshop is a good second. Those 2 are really my main recomendations! Cheers

    Good but slightly fruity...

    Yeast was Nottingham (dry). The fruitiness is actually fading a bit.. still there tho. I think its pretty good for my first batch though!! :D Thanks guys! Cheers

    Fermentation Problem

    This idea just popped into my head (im sure its been done many times as it seems pretty easy and is probably not that expensive.) If you go to the HW store and get a sheet of ply to make a box to store your fermentors (they can cut it to size for you if needed) assemble it with a couple screws...

    Tasted my first batch last night after one week in the bottle (Alpine amber). It was pretty-much carbonated which was great, It tasted good as well, but it had that fruity undertone to it.     I bottled my first batch on monday and im just curious when's the earliest i can taste it with it having good carbonation... I want to kind of grasp the ageing process in the beer, how the beer develops. OK so i guess what im asking is how long does it take for the beer to start...
