Inboxed new unit last night and set up for first cleaning this morning.Pump runs but doesn't pump,Damn.tried back flushing and cleaning check valve with no luck.E mailed grainfather and will probably hear from them in ten hours or so lol.A bit disappointed.
Try finding leaks with a star San soulution sprayed oh your posts to narrow it down.your keg disconnects may also be the culprit.try taking them apart and lubing the o-ring inside it.
I use Jaybirds yeast catcher. With a quart jar and the dump valve open I transfer wort to the conical , put on the lid and let it sit for an hour or two. close the valve and remove the jar and replace it with another. Then I aerate and pitch yeast.Seems to work pretty well for me
Depends on how mush cash you want to put out.You will need kegs, faucets, shanks, beer line, co2 tank, regulator, manifold ,and temperature regulator. You can always convert a fermentation chamber to a keezer later when funds are available.
I'd go ahead and rack. Then swirl what beer is left to break up the yeast and then try dumping. If that doesn't do it try a sanitized spoon handle to break it up
