    glass carboy VS plastic carboy.. which to chose?

    I prefer glass myself. My kit came with a "Better bottle" which I have used but I like the tradition of glass. Although you need to be more careful when moving a glass bottle you don't need to be as careful when cleaning. Not as likely to scratch the inside of a glass bottle with the bottle brush.

    school me on wort chillers

    From what I understand they are not stricktly nessessary but your wort is vulnerable to infection as it is cooling so a faster cool time is a benefit from that perspective.

    Yeah neither are really anything like a beer really, but not much like a dandelion wine either. I have my doubts about the timeline asa well but as my experience level is pretty much nill I am going by the word of the recipe.     Well I have bottled the first batch of dandelion beer last night. Smells godawful. :) But fingers crossed it'll get nicer after a week in the bottle.
