    The Roasted and Special B are in range percentage-wise, but if you are targeting the Classic Styles RIS you are light on the base malt and the missing chocolate will make a difference in my opinion. If you need to brew tomorrow then go for it, it will be a fine brew, but just maybe not...

    How far can I push saaz hops?

    Love Saaz too. I used 7 oz of 4.3 AA Saaz in my last 11 gal. batch of Czech Pils with a third at FWH, 90 and 30 for 45 IBU. Just for kicks I calculated that if I had wanted to use the whole pound of hops with this recipe, I could have put 16 oz in at 10 min and achieved the same 45 IBU. Not...

    I'm F'in done with SSR's

    When I was researching my build a few years ago, I decided on Crydom SSRs based on their reputation. They are fairly pricey new. So I sourced a reasonably priced, small used lot of them on eBay in order to have a few spares just in case. I also put in a circuit breaker to protect it.
