2015 : Anyone have their hops growing yet?

I just received my rhizomes in the mail. I placed them in the fridge. It says not to plant until after possibility of frost is past. For where I'm located that is late May. I'm just wondering if they will be fine in the fridge that long or if perhaps I should start them in the house with the...

    Equipment Wanted

What is the diameter of the chiller? I'm just wondering if it would fit in the current pot I use. I am in Tremonton, but I am sure I could make it down towards Salt Lake City.

    Equipment Wanted

Thanks for the reply. How much would you want for the cooler? I am assuming your brew pot is probably out of my price range. If you decide to upgrade your wort chiller how much would you want for that as well? Also where in Utah are you located? Thanks again.

    Replacing the low pressure gauge

I never thought of that. My thought is I could replace the gauge for a few dollars and if the worst I have to worry about is it not reading correctly it is worth the few dollars to check it out. If it is a complete fail then I can look at getting a different regulator. Thanks for the...

    Replacing the low pressure gauge

I have a question regarding the low pressure gauge on my CO2 regulator. I ended up with a regulator that was originally set up for dispensing soda. The low pressure gauge measures 0-160 psi. I wanted to replace this gauge but when I asked the guy at Airgas he told me that I couldn't put a...

    Equipment Wanted

I just wanted to put some feelers out to see if anyone might be upgrading and looking to unload some equipment. I am expanding into kegging and looking at giving all grain a try. I would like to expand into that without blowing all of my limited brewing budget. I am specifically looking for...

Georgia For Sale: GE "Keezer" with 4 taps, 10#Co2 Tank, 4 Ball Locks, temp Control.

That looks very nice and gives me some ideas for what I want to do with mine, that is once I convince my wife we need a new freezer so I can have the old one.:drunk: Any chance you might be part out the kegs? Although it probably wouldn't be worth it to ship to Utah. Just thought I might ask.

Cold Plate Jockey Box Build Step-by-Step

This is exactly what I needed. I picked up an old soda jockey box with a chill plate, regulator, tons of fittings and lines at a thrift store for a few bucks. Now I have some ideas on how to make it look nicer.

Ideas for Hop Growth in a very small yard

I think for this year I'm going to go with whiskey barrels and the side of the house. When I get it set up and get the hops planted I will update with pictures. Eventually I hope to find a spot that will work that will allow me to plant them in the ground.

    Brewer's Haven

Old posts but wanted to jump in. I used to live in Caldwell and bought my starter kit from Deb in 2002. Now living in Northern Utah the closest home brew shop is 80 miles away. I visited brewer's haven when we visited for Christmas. There stock of micros was pretty impressive, or maybe I have...

Is it only designed for towers? I have been thinking of converting a freezer with a collar. How long is the shank?

About to brew with a mystery hop.

I know I'm jumping on this late, but nice to see someone brew with mystery hops. My wife and I were out hiking last year and I saw a plant on a hillside a ways off the trail that looked familiar. After some bush whacking I discovered a vigorously growing hop plant. I think I might go out in...

Ideas for Hop Growth in a very small yard

The winter was one of the concerns I had as well. I was thinking of perhaps planting it in a lightweight plastic pot that trees come in and then put that in the whiskey barrel. That would allow me to easily move the plant into a shed for the winter. I am getting tons of great ideas and I...

Utah Regulator, faucet, tower Shank and sanke connection.

Darn too slow and I am just up the road from you. And is the reason you don't buy commercial kegs is because we can't in Utah? I was blown away when I moved here and found out I couldn't get a keg.
