I did a quick check through the forums and saw a few mentions of this question; the summary of replies is that ... No, adding it now will not help. It seems to be primarily effective only when used in the last 10-15 minutes of boil and going into cold-break.

Sounds nice. I have had some success using the kits and adding additional DME and hops. Having the can of HME, from them, gives you a workable base and a known general style which you can tweak a bit.

Wow, I really need to go through and organize my music collection again... also finding albums by Avantasia, Nightwish, Demons & Wizards, Sonata Arctica, and Doro; all that mixed in with the 'normal' stuff like Metallica, Megadeth, Danzig, Iron Maiden, etc.

Nice, that is a group I'll have to look into. great sound overall, and the vocals were fairly clear still...though about on the edge of garbled, but maybe that is just my ears and not being used to his voice yet.

I have enjoyed a pretty wide range of metal/rock music... having been a teenager during the 80's and early 90's, I really got into the early Metallica and Megadeth, Ozzy, also liked Mercyful Fate, Danzig, Dangerous Toys, Iron Maiden, etc. I pretty much liked most anything from that era/style...

Leave it alone... don't mess with anything and just let it ferment out as normal... if you are transferring to secondary for lager, then use a more size appropriate container, but for now, just DWHAHB
