    Brewing a Berliner With Lactose

    Brewing with Amoretti

You are using the syrup? I have found, for kegging, I need to purge with co2 and shake the whole keg to get it to mix, otherwise the thick syrup sinks to the bottom of the keg. The first punt or two is way to syrupy and the rest of the keg is very mild. I wonder if your first few bottles got...

    Which electric controller?

Hope OP doesn’t mind hijacking his thread, but I had the basement wired for the hosehead-50amp single plug since the hosehead can have 2 elements plugged into it. Without that feature, I’m now looking at a 50a splitter and into that, plug in a brew commander for the MT and Blichmann kettle...

    Which electric controller?

Subscribed as I was ready to pull the trigger on a hosehead until Corey shut it down for the foreseeable future. Haven’t looked at the Auber Cube yet.

Bowie Bottler - need replacement o-rings

I can help. I’ve got extras but just moved and still packed away. If you don’t get an answer first before I find them, I’ll help out.

    Hosehead/Brewtronix users

After a year and a half of building a house and setting up infrastructure for an electric brewery, I logged in to buy his product to find that message. I guess it’s better than buying the old version and the next day it’s discontinued. Ha! I’m ready to pull the trigger so hopefully it won’t be...

Anyone interested in a home brew club in Marietta Ga?

Do a search. I moved from Atlanta a year and a half ago and do remember one in that area but forget the name now. If no luck, check out my old club, Covert Hops. Their monthly meetings are in a different location every month, including NW Atlanta. Good luck.

    Spike Conical CF5 vs Flex+....

I do 10 gal batches and like to split batches for variety. I am planning on 3 flex+’s because it’s supposed to handle 2.5-6 gal in each due to the depth of the chilling coil. So I could do either 2x5 gal batches or 3 3 1/3 gal batches. I don’t believe you can go that low in a cf5.

    SS Brewtech's Mill

Not to derail the thread too much, but I have been looking at this morebeer mill. The question for me is, how much of a drawback is it being 2 roller vs 3 roller?

    Motorized grain mill for $150?

You may be right. Ha! I’ll be doing something over the next month or two and if I go this route, I’ll update the thread. It’s either this or the Ssbrewtech mill. [emoji6]

BrewCommander - Impressive offering from John

I too am interested in exactly what the relay module does. There’s lots of potential but I can’t find anything that explains its purpose yet.

BrewCommander - Impressive offering from John

I watched the videos and still trying to figure out how a 2v system works with it. It says it controls both mash and boil but if you have 2v an additional piece can be added but didn’t see a description on the website. I wonder if they already have a 2v brewcommander in the works like their...

Berliner Weisse Fruitpop in Hell (Heavily Fruited Kettle Soured Berliner with Lactose)

Do you have Trader Joe’s? They sell frozen bags of bite sized chunks.

    Hosehead Brewery

As I understand it, CBPi is for those savvy enough to create custom software for themselves. Strangebrew works out of the box for simpletons like me. Do I have that right? Thanks.

    Bowie bottler with intertap faucets

Did you add a reducer to get the accompaniment to fit on the growler filler? I was concerned that would cause too much agitation and bring an excessive amount of co2 out of solution. Apparently not an issue?

    Bowie bottler with intertap faucets

I guess it’s a technique thing. The point of the accompaniment to the Bowie bottler was to hold pressure while filling (like a poor man’s beer gun) to minimize foaming. If you are pulling out the tube as you fill, there’s no counter pressure to reduce foaming. But as you said, maybe it’s a...

    Bowie bottler with intertap faucets

My only hesitation with the growler filler is the size of the tubing and thus the amount of headspace left behind. Once I’m set up I’ll just give it a whirl with both options and see what happens.
