    Beer pours at restaurants (BW3's)

Oh! Don't egg me on like this! I'll be picking up a pyrex beaker graduated to the eight of an ounce and a high def video camera!

That's awesome. Thanks for the link.

    Beer pours at restaurants (BW3's)

I think you're right Beerrific. Looks like I'm going to have to head back for happy hour for some scientific research. A buddy that was with me the other night has agreed we need to get to the bottom of this! :cross: Not sure how we're going to do it yet, it'd be nice if I could just offer...

    Beer pours at restaurants (BW3's)

Yeah, might have to go back for some investigation. ;-) Doesn't look like a Mikasa, and there's a lot of glass down at the bottom of that glass!

    Beer pours at restaurants (BW3's)

That's interesting, I wonder what size glass they're using now. My friends and I were actually joking about trying to smuggle a glass out of the place just so we could measure it. I guess I'll never know... :drunk:

    Beer pours at restaurants (BW3's)

BTW, I'm pretty sure one of their bartenders told me recently that they use nitrogen instead of CO2 to push their beer through the lines. Anyone know if that's standard procedure now?

    Beer pours at restaurants (BW3's)

I think we all learned something here today. :D All this time I thought it was just from the 14 beers I drank...

    Beer pours at restaurants (BW3's)

"the "perfect beer" has an inch of head on top. The reason for this is to release the flavor and to release the carbonation that is used to push the beer through the tap. This carbonation, if not released, will cause the guest to feel bloated and the flavor will not be as crisp." I always...

    Beer pours at restaurants (BW3's)

I just checked my home email and here's the reply I received from a regional manager. It's all about the customer experience. Rant off... Mr. R, It is completely unfortunate that the bartender at the location you visited was unable to give you an adequate explanation as to why we serve...

    Beer pours at restaurants (BW3's)

I wouldn't say I'm going to boycott them but I'll find somewhere else to go for happy hour. And my opinion is that pour sucks. When the servers were busy and the beer sat at the bar until they could get to it they were taking straws and whipping the beer up to make it look full before they...

    Beer pours at restaurants (BW3's)

Guys, I'd like your opinion on something. I've been a long time customer of the BW3 (Buffalo Wild Wings) restaurant chain for well over 15 years starting back in college. I usually go at least a couple of times a month with friends for happy hour, and just about every Sunday during football...

    Man, I love Apfelwein

I've got 10 gallons sitting here ready to bottle. Picked up a bag of Muton's CarbTabs. They contain Dextrose, Spray-Dried Malt Extract, Heading Powder (PGA). Was planning on bottling with some plain (non-carbonated), some with 2 tablets (low carbonation), and some with 4 (high carbonation)...

20 gallon glass fermentor for sale on craigslist cincinnati

Cool! Post up some pics when you get it cleaned up and something fermenting in it. Did you buy it from an individual? From the picture it looked like it was at a shop or something. Maybe Bellevue or Mainstrasse?

Best beginner kegging system for around $200.

If you drop the CO2 tank (-59.95) you can upgrade to the dual regulator and be around $180 if I did my math right. That's for the dual keg basic kit at Keg Connections. I went down to a local party supply and you can get a 5# tank "rental" for $40 with $12 refills. So out the door initially...

    prime naturally, then what?

Ok, sounds good. I'll just pull the co2 and let it carb naturally over the next several weeks and see how it comes out.

    prime naturally, then what?

This is a timely thread. I'm new to kegging and I just racked a 5 gallon batch of some ale into a corny keg. I decided to naturally carbonate with 1/3 cup of priming sugar at room temp. I hooked up my CO2, set the reg for 10 psi, purged twice via the pull to vent, and just have it sitting...

Best beginner kegging system for around $200.

Joshua, that's awesome! Didn't realize you guys were on here and appreciate the good customer service. I'll shoot you a PM about the dual body. It might actually not be worth the hassle, shipping, and all that... Ron

Best beginner kegging system for around $200.

Well, I received my kit from Keg Connections today. I'm a little disappointed in two areas. First, I clearly stated that I wanted the dual regulator. I wrote it down here in a notepad I keep next to the computer, the guy read it back to me, I even posted it here right after the order. We...

Best beginner kegging system for around $200.

Good info thread. I just ordered about the same thing Edcculus mentions in the post above me from Keg Connections. Went with the 2 keg, upgraded to dual body taprite, kept the manifold, dropped the co2 tank. Also bought some gasket lube and keg cleaner that the guy recommended. With shipping...
