    Heating Element Enclosures

While this is a nice feature its also easily replicated with a drill and 3 seconds using any other enclosure like the HotPod.

    Hosehead Brewery Controller

I built my own Strangebrew Elsinore panel(The software Hosehead uses is Strangebrew Elsinore) to control a setup exactly as your describing. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/2798684/Brewery%20Build/2015-08-09%2021.05.17.jpg...

HOWTO - Make a BrewPi Fermentation Controller For Cheap

You can power via USB if you are doing a bare bones setup, once you start including LCD screens or other widgets you need to power the Arduino via its own power source. Ive never powered my Arduino externally since i created this thread, its just powered over 5V from the RPI USB. The key is to...

DS18B20 - Now now resistor needed!

Very interesting, curious if this is something Elco could fit into the Brewpi AVR code....

HOWTO - Make a BrewPi Fermentation Controller For Cheap

I actually had this issue as well, i did two things. Updated to the latest legacy branch(just runt he updater.py --ask command again), and also ran Sudo raspi-config and find the spot where you adjust the system time and make sure its set properly to your timezone. Then restart the RPI and...

HOWTO - Make a BrewPi Fermentation Controller For Cheap

Theres no reason it shouldnt work, the Zero can run Wheezy just fine. And BrewPi's web server isnt that resource intensive. All the extra addons and things mean you'll probably want a powered USB hub though for your Wifi dongle and other things.

HOWTO - Make a BrewPi Fermentation Controller For Cheap

Just to clarify this, the standard bare bones BrewPi setup/install on the Wiki works fine with Jessie and its what ive been using now for months. If you want to stick on the addons like the Bluetooth stuff/LCD's/etc you might want to stick with Wheezy.

HOWTO - Make a BrewPi Fermentation Controller For Cheap

A lot of people have had issues with **** USB cables corrupting the serial data going over the line in this thread. If it does happen, or if you want to just be proactive keep the cables away from eachother and or buy a few cheap snap on ferrite core/beads on Amazon and put one on either side...

    CraftBeerPi - Raspberry Pi Software

A fully loaded pi, with tons of power hungry usb and wifi dongles and such only takes like 2 amps supposedly. 3A should be fine. Most every place that sells RPI's sells 2A power supplies with them.

    240v Cord Length Voltage Drop

You should seriously consider an alternative location to brew. Your really going to spend like $400-500 on a 200 foot cable?

    Single vessel 120v build

If you opt to externally mount your heatsink, they sell some on Amazon that work great if you have(or goto HarborFreight and buy a cheap set) a way to tap your own holes. I bought one of these, a tap & die set for like $20 @ HF and it comfortably fits two SSR's...

Yes, but i believe the updater.py has not been, so you need to be careful and make sure you enter in the right path..atleast as of a few weeks ago.

HOWTO - Make a BrewPi Fermentation Controller For Cheap

The error is saying it cant create a folder named Y, i assume your answering Y to the question where its asking you where you want to install. Its not a yes or no question, its asking you for a path. Just hit enter so that it uses the default in the []'s. In general for the entire install.sh...

HOWTO - Make a BrewPi Fermentation Controller For Cheap

Are you using the automated instructions I rewrote on the Wiki? The instructions on the OP arent totally right anymore, and after awhile i lost access to edit the page myself. Maybe i should just bug the admins to flip some switch or something to make it editable again so i can clean up the OP.

HOWTO - Make a BrewPi Fermentation Controller For Cheap

FWIW ive bought these https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KUNKR3M/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20 And had no trouble with them. A bit spendy but they are also 10 feet long, so give you plenty of length to mount your brewpi and still get the probes into the fridge.

HOWTO - Make a BrewPi Fermentation Controller For Cheap

You shouldnt have exposed wires coming out, cut your outer sheathing so that it keeps your wires covered still when plugged in and screwed down. Its just good practice. Especially considering thats 120V, if it shorts your blowing out your relays best case, blowing out your fridge/freezer...

HOWTO - Make a BrewPi Fermentation Controller For Cheap

Regardless of everything else, please please redo those wires going into your relay outputs. You have way too much of the sheathing off, it wouldnt be difficult for your wires to short out.
