Bottling and storage of Kombucha (long term)

Thanks to everybody for replying! I don't think I'll have to worry about pasteurizing. Judging by the size of the jar, I don't think I'll wind up making too much. I might even have to do a second jar if other people really like it. Thanks to cowan322... I didn't realize it was as easy...

I'll always be there for ya, pal (it's ipodguy)... About the vinator - I got a NB gift card and that's going to be my next purchase. They look like they do a great job.

Bottling and storage of Kombucha (long term)

Hey everybody, I've been thinking about making kombucha off and on for several years. The entire process sounds weird and fun which is why it has so much appeal to me. For Christmas, my mother-in-law gave me a kit. She's excited to try it because of the purported health benefits...

    Show Us Your Label

Took me 2 days, but I finally made it all the way through this thread. So many great designs and ideas! I just use those Avery stick on labels and I usually only label the beers I give away. Here's the most recent one I'm working on. I tweaked Brandon O's graf recipe a little bit and made...

That's not a bad idea, Gear. Thanks!

    Stopper slid into my carboy

I was making Brandon O's Graff today and everything went well until the very end. I sprayed my rubber stopper with StarSan and inserted it into the mouth of the carboy and it slid right into my Graff. I'm not extremely worried about it ruining the graff, but I have no idea how to get it out in...

1 gallon mead recipe for a mead newbie

Hey HomebrewTalkers, I'm just getting back into brewing after taking a break for 2 years. One thing I never tried was mead, neither drinking it or making it, but I love the flavor of honey. I'd really like to start off and practice with a simple recipe, some kind of sweet-tasting...
