    yeah 1.010 sorry...it has been fermenting between 68 and 75 degree..we had a few hot days and it went up as high as 75 on my fermenter...do you think that could be the reason? maybe to high?

    I made my Apfelwein on Saturday but

    After 2 days of bubbles on my air lock it completly stopped...I have it on a better bottle so I can see inside and I can see alot of action inside but no bubbles are coming thru the air lock...I checked for leaks and it seems pretty tight..is that normal?

    Sorry if this has been asked before but I am new to AG and I just bought beer Smith software to help me with it but where in the software I can find my Efficiency according to my grains...I see the efficiency % but is always 75%. I thought it would be better if it gave me the efficiency...

    Getting pretty discouraged

    Ok for example my cream ale was an extrac receipe with a OG of 1.50 and a final 1.20. I had it in my primary for a week. i took the reading and I exacly 1.20. I did have a hard time keeping warm so I bought a heating belt and according to the term I had on the bottle it read 70 but not sure...

    I did use hopped liquid malt extract 3.3lb...plus some aroma hops. so the fact that I ended up with 6 gls is that going to affect the alcohol volume? my SG was 1.050 and after 5 days my reading is 10.20...

    I bought 5gls of water to make my next patch of beer...how do I end up with almost 6gls after 40min of boiling in my primary. I boiled with 2 gls and put the other 3 in my primary...Once I poured the boiled wort I ended up with almost 6gls....I dont get it..
