Native ESP8266 BrewPi Firmware - WiFi BrewPi, no Arduino needed!

I just tinned the three wires from each sensor and soldered them in a through hole fashion. Have the board mounted on a thin piece of double sided foam and inside a small plastic case.

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

Might sound like a simple question but, If the raspberry Pi loses power, will the brewpi running on a ESP still continue to operate autonomously?

Ha true, What voltage capacitor does it need to be. There are quite a few 1206 100uf ones, in different voltages

Native ESP8266 BrewPi Firmware - WiFi BrewPi, no Arduino needed!

Sweet, some on order, should be here Monday. Is the capacitor 100uf (unsure what voltage) required, I'm now struggling to find some unless I order a heap of them

Native ESP8266 BrewPi Firmware - WiFi BrewPi, no Arduino needed!

I had my ESP out today back onto a breadboard to try and work out the screen issue. Whilst on the breadboard it works perfectly back onto the breakout board (not this one). I have all resistors in place but nothing in Q1 or Q2, what should be in that place and the orientation of said piece, dont...

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

Thanks LBussy, Currently fermenting 22l inside of a fridge (around 220l). I have a 20w Heat Belt wrapped around the middle of the fermentor. I just have never seen this much activity for cooling/heating as my on STC-1000 was not tracked like i can do now. The question was really just about the...

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

Can someone else upload a screen capture of what their system does when holding a Beer Constant of 21 Degrees Celsius (69.8 F). I have only used an STC-1000 before this system, and now it looks like it runs way too much to hold that temp. What setting do i need to adjust to just it more ability...

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

Sorry, for being 'That Guy', but another question. I haven't had another massive time delay again on the system, so I think it's all working well. I'm running the ESP as Beer Constant @ 19 degrees, the fridge setting is always lower and it's this temp that triggers the fridge to turn on. The...

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

Will that be an update to Fermentrack or to the ESP itself? The error happened again, just before, it counted down for around an hour, then fixed itself and went back onto idle

All good, reset the EEPROM and all working as it should be. Thanks heaps

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

Ha, it didn't look right to me. I have reset the EEPROM, and reassigned the pins, we'll see if that helps

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

I now have my BrewLessPi (ESP version) controlled by Fermentrack, however sometimes when set to cooling I get a huge delay? Anyone know the cause? Or it it due to the beer/fridge temp difference? TIA

Native ESP8266 BrewPi Firmware - WiFi BrewPi, no Arduino needed!

Using an ESP. Currently in the process of mounting it in a box (as it all works without the screen). Once its together again I'll try a few different things with the rear dial.

Native ESP8266 BrewPi Firmware - WiFi BrewPi, no Arduino needed!

Is the blue dial on the back for contrast or a resistor? If it does work, not overly worried as I'll use my phone or computer to check stuff

Native ESP8266 BrewPi Firmware - WiFi BrewPi, no Arduino needed!

That dial doesn't move very far, and only seems to adjust contrast

Native ESP8266 BrewPi Firmware - WiFi BrewPi, no Arduino needed!

I don't have an adjustable resistor. I swapped the SCA and SCL but there was no difference. Is there a way to update the firmware of the LCD

Native ESP8266 BrewPi Firmware - WiFi BrewPi, no Arduino needed!

A few quick questions for the brains trust 1. Is the jumper in the correct position for the 2 relay board? 2. Does IN1 relate to K1 on the relay board? 3. What is up with this RJ-11 PCB holes, I can not find and RJ-11 PCB socket that has the same hole pattern? Thanks in advance **Edit** I...

[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

I wiped my SD card clean, set it up with Raspian Streach and updated all its software. Then used the script that Rand created from the below link, and followed the bouncing ball. https://raw.githubusercontent.com/rtlindne/RaspberryPints/master/util/installRaspberryPints

[Version 2 Release] RaspberryPints - Digital Taplist Solution

I have Finally got Rpints installed and running, Thanks to RandR+ and your simple script. When I was asked what resolution I was after, I selected 1980x1080. Is there any way I can change this once the software is installed? Can I make it so that I can mark when a Pint is poured? I know that I...
