Need a new supplier for all-grain brewing

My last online order came from http://www.farmhousebrewingsupply.com/. Hop prices were great and malt was competitive.

Building a HERMS setup but want to BUY the controller

Looks like they are using the precut 16x12x8 in the photos you provided. I think the auberins controller is the way to go for what you want, complete function without some of the other bells and whistles. And if you aren’t interested in wiring, cutting holes etc., assembly for 450 isn’t bad, if...

Building a HERMS setup but want to BUY the controller

Poor OP, thread being drug through the mud on irrelevant discussion. EBrew seems to provide similar control, depending on the panel, as electric brewery but with different brand components and internal configuration. It comes down to how much control you want and how fancy, brand conscious, do...

Kegging - Crazy Foam / Flow - Tried Longer Beer Line Already

When you remove your posts, the poppets, regardless of keg style I believe, can be pushed out of the posts. I replaced my poppets when I got my used kegs, just felt like it would be best to replace with all the other gaskets. It the gaskets on the poppets are torn or if their is gunk/hops stick...

Kegging - Crazy Foam / Flow - Tried Longer Beer Line Already

OP stated that he purged the keg after holding at 30 psi for 24 hours. In my experience, 30 psi at 24 hours won’t overcarbonate on my system, but maybe it could happen with his system. Purging multiple times after the pressure equalizes would only be necessary if the beer is over carbed. OP...

What would you be checking with your pH meter post boil that sanitation is absolutely necessary?

Kegging - Crazy Foam / Flow - Tried Longer Beer Line Already

Seems to be flowing fast for just 10 psi too, especially with 20 feet of line. As yooper said, if it’s not beer line, the low restriction would mean fast pours and seemingly more turbulence on the exit at the faucet causing the foaming. I had minimal foam issues at 34F with 7’ PVC free beer line...

    What’s with the spam?

I understand the problem with getting hit by spammers, hard to control I imagine. As I’m sure you’re aware, It just makes it extremely difficult to check into the forum for new posts just to see what’s going on in the world of homebrew. It’s even worse this morning, I think I’ll take a break...

Poppets on old soda corny kegs

I changed my poppets and pressure relief valves. Poppets would be in direct contact although they may not introduce a flavor component that is detectable, I didn’t want to risk it. I got the poppets and valves at Williams Brewing, seemed to have the best prices at the time.

Getting a job at a brewery

That’s quite the demand both for your beer and work by you to supply it. Very cool position to be in if that’s truly where you want to be. Good luck

Hey, what's up with the OLD threads?

They were working on the site last night, possibly shifting to a new server/software. Probably something to do with that.

    Motorizing MM3--Options? How about these?

I followed the below build but used a love joy connection to the 1.5” pvc bushing. It requires some diy and engineering, but that’s half the fun. PS, I’m an engineer. https://www.homebrewtalk.com/cheap-diy-option-for-a-motorized-grain-mill.html Battery operated but could use a power supply...

    New Anvil Bucket Fermentors

What are the chances that Bobby's 1.5" TC weldless bulkhead flange would fit the port in the lid? Looks like a 1 5/8" hole is needed. If that would work, you could have a plumbed blowoff assembly (possibly to include a thermowell if you sourced the proper fittings) and/or a barbed TC to...
